And to Coates credit, he's continually credited Stelfreeze with the creation of these things. Just like he's been upfront since day one about not being involved with the film.
It's been newer fans and bad journalists that have pushing this idea that Coates is the chief architect of all things Panther related. I've even seen people credit Coates for coming up with the idea of Wakanda journeying into space.

I still remember when they announced Cyborg would be part of the DCEU league and that he had a movie in development....hardly anybody cared. Nearly every response was "What about John Stewart" and "I'd rather see a Black Panther movie".
People have been clamoring to see a Black Panther movie since that easter egg in Iron Man 2 and the reveal of Cap's shield in The First Avenger.
Black folks aint out here supporting black characters just because they're black. The shyt has to have some sort of appeal. Nobody is checking for Cyborg like that outside of the Teen Titans.
