Just gotta hope Martin Freeman pulls off the role well without making him annoying. Like you said if its hit or miss then it takes you out of the movie for a sec. Think Jar Jar. Freeman usually is able to pull off characters like this so I'm hoping he skillfully makes it work.

I get ya, but lets be real. Coogler wouldn't have him in the movie if it was up to him. See how he killed off the Paulie character in his Creed movie.

In Coogler We trust though.

Paulie was in a lot of the original scripts for Creed, the only reason he was killed off was play up Rocky's loneliness.

Coogler is drawing HEAVILY from Priest's run, so it's fair to assume he was always going to include Ross in some fashion.

FOREVER MY LADY!
• T’Challa’s got royalty in his DNA, but does he have the loyalty of a goddess in his corner?
• Ororo Munroe, also known as Storm of the X-Men and former queen of Wakanda, is back in T’Challa’s life. But is it for good this time? Or will country come between a man and his queen again?

Just read BP #14. Pretty good overall, imho.

-T'Challa was well portrayed in this issue.

-T'Challa was, for the second time in a row, the primary focus of this issue. Perhaps it will be the norm throughout this season.

-Potential love interest introduced?

EDIT: it was QDJ. Disregard love interest comment.

-Convo with the previous BPs went well.

-A character from the Hudlin/Mayberry run returns.

-Doctor Fautus and Stane scheme.
Only complaint I have is the art. It's not bad but it wasn't as consistent as it needed to be.

Looking forward to the next issue.

Pretty much agree except for one thing

QDJ as a love interest just seems so....wrong. Especially with Storm back in the mix

Wished T'Chaka would've had more lines in the Council meeting of the dead

Very solid issue however.
