Trump absolutely got washed but I think we're all holding our celebrations for when he's officially sworn in because at that point we'll know the results of the senate run off. IMO its just hard to celebrate properly when we don't know if fixing this country is gonna be done by the Democratic party as a whole or Joe Biden via EOs. Turtle losing his power will be the ideal ending of the Donald Trump saga so I'm saving my liver until then:myman:

Oh of course the Senate is a completely different argument... There are things that Biden can get done through Executive Order but without the Senate we already know it's obstruct obstruct obstruct....

So if I'm the Biden team even without the Senate he has to act like the guy that just washed Trump. He needs to do what he can through E.O. and fukk feelings while he is doing it. Now whether they want to attempt to "reach across the aisle" I do think that's the approach Biden will take at least initially..

..and it's going to piss some people off in here but I don't think it's a bad strategy IF Biden can clearly show that they want nothing but obstruction. If he can show there is no bipartisanship then he can do some things through E.O. without any backlash from moderates.

If he hits the ground running, eliminates covid, $15 minimum wage, studen loan forgiveness, it will definitely buy him a lot of good press.

im sorry, but i dont see trump losing with unemployment in the 3s and a high stock market :yeshrug: it goes against everything we know about this country

not to mention biden's positives would have declined as well in that scenario
Well, you are right. Economy >>>> this WWE, inside baseball nonsense. Most people never paid attention to trumps tweets outside of the 6:00 news. This was a narrow win. Biden got 80 million votes because there are more people around than in 2016 and 2012.

Without COVID Biden would also have a better ground game and would be out more. I could imagine Scranton Joe and Obama campaigning all over the country.:banderas: Plus people fukking hate Trump no matter the economy.:unimpressed: Doesn’t really matter Cheeto got washed.
I think this is one thing people forget. Biden was gonna bring back the ground game Obama had in 08 and '12. Hillary in 2016 had no ground game and explains one of the reasons why she lost. Biden won this year despite no ground game. I bet you money if Kamala is the nominee in 2024 he will advise her to get a ground game going because that the key to win not only the rust belt stats but the sun belt as well.

People didn’t vote on COVID.

The vote was nasty cac vs everyone else. That’s it.

We all picked sides. Either your with the nasty cac movement or you are not.

Biden was probably the best candidate for classic liberal turnout. Everything else was a wash. I think any democrat on the ticket wins this election

Without the senate after the first obvious attempt of Republican obstruction, which will no doubt happen right away, he should let them EOs fly and with each one say "I'm not going to let Republicans prevent me from helping Americans." The only thing a GOP candidate would try to hit Biden on there would be bullshyt about the deficit, but the Trump era has shown they give no fukks about that lmao

Nope. The main reason was turnout as a percentage of population.

And plenty of people saw Trump's tweets because in the first 2 years they were on the news consistently.

58 percent of registered voters voted. That's not too much higher than in 2016 or 2012. I wouldn't 2016 was a blowout and this wasn't either. They saw Trump tweets, but they didn't talk about them for days like we do here. Half the country doesn't care about politics.

I watch his videos too but his mistake is thinking all these people have political principals and policies they want enacted. The common Trump supporter isn't behind the man because of his principals. Trump's only principal is further himself by any means necessary.

People cheer Trump on like they cheer on a sports team. Trump isn't even really a republican he's just exploiting their base because for decades that party breed people to bow down to them unquestionably. Trump simply stepped in and dialed up their dog whistle racism and the like to bullhorn levels.

"He fights" is the number one reason I am told they support him.
