Exactly right... Trump got washed. The 80 million who voted for Biden deserve to celebrate and we are owed a platform that will mostly cater to us.
I'm not crazy.. I know Biden has to or will depending on your viewpoint attempt to unite but he gotta feed us and I will be one of the first to say he's not doing enough if it comes to that.
If you can't see the difference between holding Biden accountable for campaign promises to hoping Trump wins you're lost. Now how is surrounding yourself with the same people that led to Trump's rise(Drain the swamp anyone?) going to help everyday Americans when corporations/lobbyist interests dominate your transition teams and your cabinet? It's going to make for any easy pitch to the next MAGA cult leader who actually is a skilled politician.

Trump absolutely got washed but I think we're all holding our celebrations for when he's officially sworn in because at that point we'll know the results of the senate run off. IMO its just hard to celebrate properly when we don't know if fixing this country is gonna be done by the Democratic party as a whole or Joe Biden via EOs. Turtle losing his power will be the ideal ending of the Donald Trump saga so I'm saving my liver until then
We won either way....the only question now is whether we're getting some of what we want or everything and I can be happy with that considering Trump was the alternative

If my aunt had a dikk she would be my uncle....you're assuming Trump would have a peaceful Presidency without Covid and we all know nothing is peaceful about him...if it wasn't Covid, there would've been something else Trump fukked up. No way he goes a whole year without doing something foolish
The only reason Covid was as disastrous as it was to America was because of Trump and his irresponsible behavior. You can't remove him from the situation. His attitude towards the situation was the accelerant. There's no way we have the same amount of deaths with Obama/Clinton in office.And Trump barely got the Rust Belt in 2016. It wasn't a landslide. It was due to people HATING Hilary and those people thinking Trump would give them jobs. He didn't. Coal jobs didn't come back. He started a trade war that fukked over farmers and manufacturers. And now he has a record that can be dissected and picked apart vs. being an outsider to Washington in 2016. People can look at him now and see he's full of shyt. With Biden, he doesn't have the same amount of critics Hilary did. He's a safe pick. A white man with a relatively good political record. He has good will with black voters and progressives from the Obama years. People would have still felt that voting Biden in, was akin to having an adult/parent return back to the White House. That feeling is still there, Covid or no Covid. Biden is also LOVED in Pennsylvania, and he appeals to whites in the Midwest. Biden wins PA, WI and MI....Covid or no Covid. And that's the Election right there. Biden would've won...just with less of a margin.
As others have said, Covid wasn't the primary reason why people wanted Trump out. Most people said race and division. You would've still had the George Floyd protests, the Brianna Taylor protests, the Jacob Blake/Kyle Rittenhouse shootings, and the Philadelphia and Atlanta protests. And you would've had Trump going on television talking about law and order
and doubling down on dogwhistles. The Proud Boys moment would've still happened Blacks in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Detroit and Milwaukee would've still went to the polls. And there's no guarantee he wins Arizona. He shytted on their most beloved politician, even after his death...like a dufus

Aside from Covid or any other scandals....Trump only took the blue wall by about 100000 votes in 2016. Less than that actually. Was always gonna be an uphill battle for him. That's why even though I had concerns it was silly to have them at the same time. Trump dpent very little of his 4 yesrs actually pushing towards reelection.
He basically felt he had it in the bag and was, outside of his base, an unpopular candidate.
Ironically the final electoral vote talley mirrors the one in 2016 only he's on the losing side. He pulled a Hillary and got too complacent. Like the punk accepting treats in jail he has to pay out the ass.

Same people saying dems need to wield power refuse to act like they have the mandate too.If Trump had 80 million votes and flipped some dark blue states I can't imagine what the discussions would be. It'd be along the lines of "He's gonna be able to talk his shyt and do whatever he wants!"
