The 180 day blue ribbon committee to study the issue tells you everything you need to know.
I don't necessarily agree with this, I think even if he was considering packing the courts its the right thing to do. Have verifyable independent constitutional scholars assess the situation so its something you can fall back on. I see nothing wrong with it at all.

Biden already said he not adding anyone but will be doing some bipartisan *changing the courts* bullshyt.
It ain’t up to Biden that’s what you need to understand..

A Dem senate majority can expand the court.. Biden’s job will be to nominate justices to place in those newly added seats

Dudes talking about needing a definitive answer on packing the courts. We don't even have control of the senate right now.

I'd hate to play spades with these nikkas :francis:

Why does it have to be half a year?

And more than anything, Republicans will still say its partisan. There is no reason to worry about them at this point.

Despite rhetoric, GOP has supported packing state courts

Republican governors in Arizona and Georgia have signed bills passed by GOP-dominated legislatures to expand the number of seats on their states’ respective high courts. In Iowa, the Republican governor gained greater leverage over the commission that names judicial nominees.

“The arguments being advanced now by Republican leaders — that this is an affront to separation of powers, that this is a way of delegitimizing courts — those don’t seem to be holding at the state level,” said Marin Levy, a law professor at Duke University who has written about efforts to expand state high courts.

Arizona’s governor, Republican Doug Ducey, said he opposes adding seats to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Yet Ducey signed a bill that did just that at the state level in 2016, expanding the Arizona Supreme Court from five seats to seven. As a result, Ducey has appointed more judges than any other governor in the state’s history.

EXPAND THE COURTS. There's no logical reason not to if Dems get control of the Senate.

The Arsenal
Schumer could have let Mitch know in clear terms if you do this you’re declaring war on my party and you will regret it.

Mitch did it in part because he knew he could get away with it. Because he knew the dems wouldn’t retaliate over it.

Instead Schumer is up there on the senate floor crying about honor and dignity to scoundrels like somebody else is gonna step in and do something about this.

Let’s be clear. The dems won’t add more justices to the court nor will they destroy the filibuster. No price will be paid for this and Mitch knows it.

If Schumer can’t go to war with enemies that are at war with him then he needs to step out of the way and let leaders who can take over.
what's unclear about this?

He's fukking fence sitting and acting like he not even interested in this shyt. A Republican with polls this high would be talking about tearing everything down if the shoes were reversed.

If Biden wins it'll be a wash
