Schumer is so pathetic. Dude be up there crying like a bytch. Love him or hate him Mitch gets shyt done. Chuck not gonna do shyt but get punked by him. Let’s keep it real the dems and Biden will just continue to watch as the republicans use the courts to strip everyone of their rights. They won’t add justices.
Senate has a majority. There was literally nothing that could stop a confirmation in the end.

You say he gets things done. Pretty easy to do with a majority in the Senate. That's an angle they jumped on and are using. And one Democrats couldn't stave off.

Welcome to politics. Where your side might be able to do A but not B. Many on here jump on Democrats for every little thing. Fact is they're fighting hard with what they have. Don't like what just happened? Quit doing your own bit of crying and start doing some online campaigning to get more Democrats in the Senate.

If Democrats had a majority in the Senate ACB doesn't get nominated. See how that works?

Politics is slow work sometimes. So you may not see the change you want until your side gets majorities.

Democrats got fukked over during Obama's presidency and have continued to get fukked over because they played by the rules but it started even before that. You cannot blame them for playing by the rules at least to a degree, there's always been shiftiness in politics and backroom dealings and all types of shady shyt going on but the GOP at least used to pretend to be honorable and that's what this has been, an honor system.. but it's clearly broken and they have been working at it a long time.

I mean really the GOP has been at this for far longer than when any of us have been around. 2000 election was a power play. You can go back into the 90s with the Clinton impeachment farce on down the line...

Democrats have been made to look like fools but again I don't fully blame them because they were trying to be honorable. That's done now. That is out the fukking window..

Whenever the Dems regain power it is time to go NUCLEAR... anything less is not an option.

Schumer could have let Mitch know in clear terms if you do this you’re declaring war on my party and you will regret it.

Mitch did it in part because he knew he could get away with it. Because he knew the dems wouldn’t retaliate over it.

Instead Schumer is up there on the senate floor crying about honor and dignity to scoundrels like somebody else is gonna step in and do something about this.

Let’s be clear. The dems won’t add more justices to the court nor will they destroy the filibuster. No price will be paid for this and Mitch knows it.

If Schumer can’t go to war with enemies that are at war with him then he needs to step out of the way and let leaders who can take over.

theres not a true incentive for either party to act right until there is a viable 3rd/4th party in play

unless you believe in the altruism of new faces to triumph over greed and blackmail

Simple fact is Republicans have known for decades it would get harder and harder for them to win elections over the years.

Their voter pool dwindles but their apathetic voter percentage shrinks. It's opposite with the Left.

Have more voters but the politicians have to be on God status or...
you'll have don't vote campaigns
you'll have folks protest voting
you'll have folks nitpicking everything they do or don't do

If your views and beliefs align the support. The Left has the numbers to lock Republicans out of damn near any major election but we overthink everything and demand wayyyyy too much.

As far as getting fukked over I'd disagree on the extent. Democrats have still been pushing out major legislation.

Republicans went the court route because they know their voter base in shrinking.

3rd party is impossible in our political system though.. you don't get anything out of it. It's not like in Europe where you can get a seat at the table through allocation and have your voice heard.. Even Ross was only on stage because he was a billionaire and where did that get him in the end. He had millions of votes I remember the hype vaguely.. but it still ultimately went nowhere..

That's why I tell people the only way is to have your party inside of the party. If say progressives really wanna get their shyt in they have to continue to win at the local levels, pick up mayors and state rep/senator seats, pick up U.S. house seats and when that wing of the party is big enough on the local level their demands are heard and the party is forced to go further left. I hope AOC continues to become a superstar within the party and finds people to pick off seats because that will make the moderates have to drift from their comfy centrist views.

i agree with you but my comment stands

it was me more-so lacking optimism than being practical

both parties banded together after perot to alter campaign finance and eligibility to be on the presidential debate stage. so thats done.

party within a party is fine if momentum is sustained and the old ones go play shuffleboard somewhere. not fine if they hold on long enough to corrupt new ones..even still the lobbyists can do that for them

There will never be a viable 3rd party in our system. 2 parties is the natural result of it. Either you join the party that more closely aligns with your views or you allow the party furthest from you to gain power. Because of that principle most who would support a 3rd party abandon it and vote for one of the two.

let's be clear Schumer is a bum. Pelosi is a far more calculated politician than that clown. People get on her for whatever reason but her strategies helped flip the house back blue and under her a lot of the shyt that Trump wanted to push though faded away. She got clout and people respect her.

McConnell adjourned the senate until the 9th. Thats an evil fukk. Gets his judge then says fukk it, we out, good luck.

There's a special place for that creature.
even though the skin on his hands briefly became reptilian recently, i respect the fact that he actually uses his power to get the things his people want and expect from him. and he doesnt act like a morally conflicted bytch like lindsey graham
