That makes sense after the 2018 midterm results. I think you’re on to something. :krs:

Heh. Once again, when it comes to policies, Democrats won't be getting anything passed, and even if they do, it will all get rolled back or poisoned as soon as Republicans get power again (which happens in a blink of an eye). So it's all for show at this point without a coherent long term strategy. Biden is worse than Hillary and Obama for Democrats on all levels. This is a losing point for Democrats historically. This will just exhaust Democrats, and once Trump is gone energy will be gone.

Does no one think strategically or is everything just the feel of the day?

can any disgruntled bernie supporters quote me, and explain what progressive gains were made from 2016-2020 because trump won instead of hillary?
That's not the argument. Progressives are saying Centrists should lose the ability to be the political strategists of the party mainly because they lost to a political novice like Trump, lost the SC, don't have the majority in governors or state legislatures. Their strategy and inability to oppose Republicans is driving the party and country into the ground. Please step aside and let's try something else instead of what you have been doing. They are too greedy or craven to do so and we are now running an old, stuttering, lazy accused of sexual assault nominee as our only hope to turn things around nationally. It's not looking good.

is he better for them than trump?

If Democrats get a strong majority in the Senate, yes. If they don't, no; it might make them feel better that Biden is president, but it will do long term damage to Democrats because Biden is straight trash.

fair enough, but centrists are the status quo because they're the ones who built up the party. and they represent the majority of the base

how the fukk do progressives expect to win the primary for president when less than half of the democratic congress is progressive :dahell: what's with the entitlement? you don't represent most of the democrats

shouldnt progressives have to form an influential bloc in congress before they demand the nomination for president?

I do think that if Biden wins then Democrats will quickly go back to being complacent and lackadaisical.

Some major Republicans will try to distance themselves from Trump but still try to appeal to Trump voters (who make up most of the Republican voter base). Nikki Haley & Josh Hawley are prime candidates to do that.

It's gonna work too. Many of these "moderate" and "#NeverTrump" Republicans will support a Nikki Haley because she's a "decent & compassionate conservative".

Democrats have to keep our foot on the gas and the other on Republicans necks. It probably won't happen though :francis:.

Hillary's endorsement probably reduces Biden's chances of winning by like 50%. :francis:
