I can’t understand you people thinking Trump wins :what:

You guys are insane to me..

He’s been terrible and the worst President ever in history and is a criminal..

You people say he’s gonna get re-elected like he’s George Bush or some shyt..

He’s been an absolute disaster in every way he’s one and done
They think that Trump is Reagan in '84 :dead:.

Hope you guys are happy with your choice :scusthov::camby:

The republicans are gonna run all over him

Low key this actually helps Biden :heh: Lowers the expectations so low that the moment he gives a normal, staid speech like he did last night, most voters will be like this sounds good to me.

The more his fumbles are exaggerated, the easier he clears the bar :manny:

so as a progressive im still gonna support biden. i shoudlnt have to even say it but you know how this site be.

anyway, i know the talk is about how senile joe is. but i think one thing we are discounting is how many people didnt vote or voted for trump instead of hilldawg because whatever reason you want to say. that group of people will make the difference in this upcoming general election. either tired of trump or didnt for him. im about 65% confident joe can get it done. but trump is a glitch in the matrix so i truly cant put my money on it

Your expectations for the presidential candidate is that he is able to give a normal speech without fumbling? :mjlol: These are the dnc standards now

Biden is not qualified for the job at this point period. Hard truth but somebody has to say it :whoa:

i go back and forth on this daily as i watch the news. i dont think people think that. but its the fact we see so many of his cult and even gop politicians defend him. so their constituents logically would do the same. only his sheep think any of that. the rest of us are just looking at those sheep wondering what will it take becasue their have been tons of reason to at least criticize him on a normal level. but we will see

Wild throwback :wow: low key 2008 was way more polarizing than this primary. I remember being shocked that Obama offered Clinton a cabinet position and even more surprised that she accepted.
that was a blood path..Clinton establishment plus all of DNC vs skinny hussein :wow:
and dems still won big

biden wins easily come nov

i agree with all of this but trump aint qualified either. this is just where we are. i think berndawg would be the right choice but we gotta rally around senile joe and get this a$$hole out the office and sort these courts out.

idk if you subscribe yourself as a progressive, but if you do then we gotta figure out how we can pull the party left so we can actually get a future warren or bernie in office

edit: if bernie is sitll on the ticket come PA im still voting for him because i agree biden aint it but....

@FAH1223 @Warren Moon

I tagged y'all b/c y'all are from two differ factions and knowledgeable about policy. What are 1 or 2 policy proposals (obviously not M4A) that Biden should embrace from the Bernie wing as a way to reach back to his voters without alienating Biden's base? Biden will most likely be the first candidate in history that will need to move away from the center primary -> general. Obama needs to advice him not to remain content. Obama through his work w/ his foundation has a pulse of the frustration right now within the young generation. Embracing some type of student loan forgiveness or a more ambition climate change initiative or calling up Warren to take parts of her anti-corruption bill would be smart IMO.
Young progressives do not in anyway see themselves as an extension of the Obama legacy nor do they think that he gets it. There’s a respectful we won’t say anything out loud because he’s black thing but trust me - they feel a way. That sip he took in Flint did him no favors.

Also, only a few psychotic diehards call themselves “Berniecrats.” What you’re all not seeming to realize is that Sanders backers as shown on poll after poll are the most policy-based demographic. In fact, they’re essentially the only demographic voting on policy. The ire at Warren that you guys took as personal was them feeling like she rejected “them,” not him. She is one of the most progressive senators and is considered a hero and an ally and they thought backing Bernie was a hill worth dying on. They feel personally hurt and are straight up confused. She is in no position to deliver Biden any voters and he knows that.

The arguments progressives will make is that you have more of a space to fight under Biden than Trump and he should do nothing to quell that. It’s the argument that I made in 2016 about Hillary and Trump that somehow foresaw this election (but I stopped using my head and went with my heart for a bit there). The left cannot thrive under Republicans because they will be so toxic that everything will coalesce around getting him out. Biden got to run on nothing but getting Trump out. But no one listened to that in 2016 and here we are :manny:

I understand I grapple with it too but my gut tells me he’s outta there.. Nobody can defend his behavior. He goes on TV and every single time he’s says stupid dumb ass shyt. He looks like a total idiot which is why they barely have him talk unless it’s an emergency. Look at the shyt he said about the Coronavirus. Everything he says is stupid.

Trump really should be worried. If that 39-41 is his average approval and give him a couple extra for the general, he’s just below where he was to win the electoral college in 2016.

And now seeing how much anti-Clinton was a factor

i feel what you are saying. and i agree! im sure my feelings will change 10 times a month until november. but if they keep talking dumb about corona then it will be a cake walk as long as joe doesnt say any stupid shyt. which he has the capability to. all he has to do is teh BAREMINIMUM atm.
