In 4 years, Democrat socialists need to get into actual positions of power in estabalished media and business. They damn near maxed out the grass roots route imo...

And actually learn how to connect with black voters.... Biden was gon win them anyways but it shouldnt have been a massacre

The problem is a lot of Democratic Socialist are anti business because they are anti Capitalism. That will have to change. They don’t have to do traditional business models but they have to at least start opening more worker owned cooperatives at a minimum. And yes there Black outreach must be much better. Some of them think class solves everything. Get rid of class there would still be racism, and Black people have unique problems that need to be address. So just class talk alone is not going to do it.

The left doesn’t talk about business nearly enough.

They don’t understand that young Black people are into business. So many young Brehs and sisters want to start a business, or got a side hustle going on. Talking about how they can help their businesses with training , grants and no interest loans would peak as lot of their interest.

The Establishment business and media part is very difficult if not impossible. They don't want lefties around them, it's not the other way around. You see how dirty they did Bernie. They don't want anyone who even gives a whiff of integrity around. You have to be an unabashed self-interested capitalists to get in their organizations.
The second part, yes they need to overdue that. Conference and try to make inroads at the local, state and federal law El as well as with organizations and individuals. It will be easier as time goes on as the old guard gets old and younger people get more involved.

They forget that black people have always wanted to be independent and have our own. We are not White people that see how capitalism has failed them in a nation where they feel entitled. We grow up expecting nothing and having to fight for everything. The left doesn’t have really have any people who are among “the folks.” There’s no one that most young black people really want to be like leading their movement. They lack Obama’s “cool” factor as corny as it seems.

The black outreach involves the left going to places where they are not comfortable. It means going to religious institutions despite being more or less secular. It means bringing in people who entrenched in the media and black bourgeois. It means talking to black people in terms of what they’ve been denied in America. Corporate America doesn’t play as well because a lot of people of color are still moving up the economic ladder and wish too and are not as entrenched in the haves and have nots. There is still pride in seeing “one of us” make it. The left needs a way to word things in those terms. Obama wasn’t talking to white audiences and saying “hoodwink” and stuff like that. Sanders refusal to “pander” plays well with the black left but we all know that we aren’t the majority among black folk. Sanders should’ve had Jessie with him from the beginning to discuss how to word those things to Black people.

I wonder why Jessie endorsement came so far out in the campaign
