The Bernie Sanders and reparations controversy, explained

Bernie Sanders when asked about reparations says there are 'better ways' to help people than 'writing out a check'

Why would black voters want Bernie when he dismisses them at every chance?

He threw them under the bus to reach independent and moderate racists.

He had tangibles for Native Americans. I've never even seen an NA irl. :mjlol:
Fam, this shyt isn’t relevant. I can assure you as someone who has been out in the organizing field. He lost because of Obama and that’s that.

THIS is who America voted for. If you’re worried about healthcare and climate change and still voted against your interests you deserve everything coming in Nov

Unfortunately a lot of people don’t vote on policy. They vote on feel. The majority of the voters in VA and Maine agreed with M4A. They even supported getting rid of private insurance. And they still voted for Biden. It i is sad but it’s reality.

They already voted for Trump in 2016, this is just a natural reaction to being blindsided by it in 2016 :manny:. They dont like risks and last night is an example how volatile the progressive support is in this country.

Sadly, disaster has to happen for revolution to take place. And again I say Warren really hurt Bernie and the progressive movement last night. Warren had no viable path to the White House based on polls and previous contests in Iowa New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina. She should have dropped out and endorsed Sanders when Mayor Pete and Amy dropped out and endorsed Biden. It was a sacrifice for the progressive movement to stop the moderates from choosing one candidate. Warren not being on the ballot on Super Tuesday would have changed the dynamics in Texas and Massachusetts for sure.

I think she did permanent damage to this progressive movement because a strong showing on Super Tuesday was critical for Bernie

I dont think Bernie gonna win the nomination :mjcry:. Its a steep climb from here on out. I think New York is the last surefire Bernie state rich for delegates left really.

But anyway

But We all know Trump has all red Xs in action to protect climate. He gotta go in 2020 no matter what.

The only way this makes sense is if the black vote went to a guy like Stayer or Marianne Williamson who spoke explicitly about reparations.

Instead the black vote went to Joe Biden.

Worst part is going to be seeing complete valueless politicians like Buttegeig and Klobuchar get jobs in the Biden admin, boost their profiles further and then use that to run again and give us even more centrism in the future. Just like Obama's admin is giving us Biden now. Its just shyt piling onto shyt over and over again.
You wont be seeing that because Biden is not winning against Ronald da Donald. But you're welcome to dream on

Last night definitely stings considering how close we were. But the powers that be weren’t gonna ever let it happen. But you’ve gotta realize that in order to rout a movement you need to them feel despair and you feel despair the most right as your about to win and have it snatched from you.

We just gotta keep fighting, we gotta do more on the ground level specifically with teens. Gotta get them energized to voting and community service.

Nothing cause they're ties or Biden is up by like 6 delegates.

I wonder what it means for Cali, though
Cali will be counting for days... but Bernie is going to get a good chunk of the statewide delegates since Bloomberg might not be viable

Because some of the voting has been so close i think they are just trying to be very careful about where the number of delegates is allocated.

The more I think about it the more I feel Warren might have been a pawn used by the dem establishment to damage Bernie. They should have been working together not against each other.
