Castro isn't a bad choice for Warren at all.

Kamela works for Biden. I'd be shocked if he picked Abrams, he's been running as the "safe" alternative to Trump and he ain't gonna mess with that by picking someone who isn't high-profile and well-established in people's minds already. Then again, I'd be shocked if this actually becomes a relevant issue going forward.

The whole thing is dumb... someone on her staff clearly ran to a reporter with it, which is concerning. The entire Justice Dems left was hyped when Kirsten Gillibrand was the first to call for Abolishing ICE and they said bernie needs to take this position...which is funny cause Kirsten was one of the most conservative on the border a decade ago.

AOC needs to get these libs out of her staff but like I said she's apart of this new left that's incoherent. It's not that I don't disagree with abolishing ICE, it's just we all know it could kill Bernie in a general. My guess is that Bernie and his team saw that he needed the AOC/Justice Dems support to survive Warren's rise. That being said there's only so much juelizing you can put on having halt all deportations on your issues page

It's funny reading the primary thread....they always say bernie is all about class doesn't care about race. His 2020 campaign is way more into idpol than last time. His 2016 message was better for a general election and I hope Bernie understands that he's gonna need to drop a lot of the abolish ICE stuff in the general....which is gonna cause friction with idpol lefties in AOC's staff and on Twitter.

This reeks of the Owen Jones wing of the Labour party. Sorry for the negative posts but :francis:

This is shameful. It's like they didn't learn anything from Trump 2016. It's like these motherfukkers don't understand the current landscape favors populism and the more you try to fight it with institution players, the stronger it gets. Let's hope they don't get it, till it's too late.

A populist campaign is the only surefire way to beat Trump. Conventional political strategy will not beat him. Trump is stronger than he was in 2016 due to the economy and four years of the presidency under his belt and America is not a catastrophe.

Bernie had the juice in 2016 to win it and he definitely has the juice moreso than everybody else this go around.

U need that opposing populist energy to beat Trump.

Populism is on the rise all over the world particular in the West due to failure of Neo-Liberal policies. You can either choose to live by left wing populism or die by right wing populism.
