its all on tomorrow man, round 2
Nina is gonna be Chief of Staff.
VP will go to someone like Barbara Lee. I'm convinced that's who Bernie is going to pick if he wins.
I like Nina, she's from my city so I want the best for her, but she could be too hardcore for some voters.
Ive heard some people , people i know that are white and moderate dems. "oh you have to pick a moderate, picking nina turner is like picking a black panther and white people will be scared, theyre already going to be voting for a "communist".i dont know do people think thats true? ive wanted nina as VP for the longest.
yeah im with you 100 percent.Nina is BLACK black, I'm sure there are some white folks who are intimidated by her but now is not the time to cater to their fears. Chances are if you're down with Bernie, you're down Nina. If you're on the fence and just going to be voting for him because he's the nominee, I don't think you're gonna look at her and be like...Nahhhh.
People gotta keep in mind that whoever he picks could very well end up being the first female president for one reason or another and it should be someone who is politically aligned with him, to me that's more of a priority than picking Klobberjaw or even someone like Harris to appeal to people who are that ridiculous.

I like Barbara Lee, she would be my second choice but there are two important issues that make Nina the better pick.
She would be 78 by the time Bernie's term is up and probably wouldn't be running after him. Then the fact that she's poised to be a replacement for Pelosi is something else to be considered. You don't want to pull someone out of an important office to come to be VP.
I don't think her being hardcore will be a hindrance, and again...according to his preferences who else are you making VP without removing someone from congress/senate or picking from any of the lame birds from the field of democratic candidates?
Bernie isn't dependent on his VP pick to win, he's going to win on the issues, I don't think her being tough, especially up against Trumpests is going to keep people from voting for him.

I'm not on the "pick Nina" train just yet, but one of the biggest assets of that pick is that she's been by Bernie's side the whole time. People can't be like, "he's just picking a Black woman to pander" the more they realize how tightly the two of them have been tied the last five years. And that at least might cause some voters to think about his candidacy differently.
I heard on a podcast yesterday that Warren was probably going to pick Julian Castro is she got the chanceExactly.
Authenticity is a huge deal and that is as authentic of a relationship that you can get, especially since Biden or even Warren will probably try something similar with people they don't have much association with.
