I like Pressley but her energy does not match Bernie’s campaign. Completely different.

But I would approve and I would like it. She carries herself with a presidential sort of grace already.

Not to mention if the knock against Nina is experience, it could be used against her as well.

Bernie's theory of change means that just winning the election isn't enough. He needs mass mobilization and civic engagement from millions of people during his entire time in office. So sure, they'll vote for him, but are they going to rally and march on Capitol Hill for him? Are they going to vote to primary Cory Booker and Kamala Harris for him? If you don't do any outreach to this wing of the left, they're not going to go the extra mile that Bernie needs them to go.

I'm concerned that a lot of Bernie supporters and the left are so addicted to being losers that they don't actually know how to govern. A lot of these people would rather sit on twitter and complain about the libs and cook up DNC conspiracy theories than actually create the coalitions needed to govern and enact progressive change. Social media has really fukked up our politics and culture.

A lot of them are also volunteers. He's aligned himself with activists and unions pretty heavily and trained volunteers in organizing. Have you seen the door knocking stories and just how many people are canvassing for this dude? This isn't anything like a normal campaign, the electorate is legitimately diverse and the enthusiasm gap from Bernie's supporters to others is measurable in poll numbers about certainty for support. You can't project typical norms on this group and it's a mistake to make presumptions over your twitter encounters. The infrastructure that has built itself up since Bernie's first run and helped put on some of the most popular new politicians in the game is what you should be paying attention to.

None of that's to say Bernie will definitely be successful. It's just a bit crazy to see that presumption that these people will stop putting in work while they actively outwork every other campaign and out-donate everybody despite smaller donations through sheer volume. Yes they tweet, but there's a lot of people putting in work too.
