I wished I could direct and write this movie.....I really do think that Ant-Man is a easy character to like with the right writers...I hope this movie is good
i have a feeling shyt is gonna be hilarious though...
Marvel did amazing things with random directors on CA WS and GotG, I'm definitely hyped for this. Paul Rudd is the man and with Adam McKay helping with the script this should be a legitimate comedy.

Trailer failed to leave any kind of impression. And I hate it when they put in these smarky "ha ha, we know about the name, you guys!" jokes. It's not clever and only reeks of disrespect to the entire fanbase that has loved the character and kept that name relevant for decades.
Also, Marvel is king of teasers with just random shots that give no information whatsoever regarding what the story of the movie is. It's just like "He shrinks, man turns on machine, guy with gun shouts, he flies an ant, COME SEE THIS shyt!".

Wow what a very underwhelming teaser. After it was over I was just like, "OK, and". It's going to probably do OK cause it's the 2nd Marvel movie of the summer after "Ultron" but that trailer didn't do much for me.

the wildcard for this movie is going to be Cassie Lang - had no idea she was in this
her involvement in the story is going to 'encourage' the parents to take the kids to see this i wold bet. Marvel (and of course Disney) know how to make movies that get families to go, and families equals $$$
also: I have never seen an Edgar Wright movie, but respect how well regarded he is on this forum and other circles
are folks who are upset he's not a part of this going to at least give this a chance, or is the movie doomed because he was replaced or whatever?

Er, I think the new comic is because of the upcoming movie not the other way around.Don't get it confused breh: if it's Scott Lang and not hank pym that's a marvel decision. When you're making movies that interlock you're going to have final say on the characters. If marvel didn't want Scott Lang then we wouldn't be getting a Scott Lang movie. And of course it's no coincidence that ant man is getting a brand new comic on Wednesday starring: Scott Lang
And a couple of pages ago you were going on about how Edgar Wright pitched this movie and it wouldn't be made if he initially didn't want to make it. And he left to keep his balls in tact. He wrote the script. You can't give him all the praise and none of the criticism. It was his idea/decision and now it is Marvel's fault? Wow, OK.
No breh I'm saying that the characters used are going to be marvel. And I wasn't saying it's anyone's fault who they're using cause I don't know enough about ant man to say Scott Lang is a worse character than hank pym. I'm just simply stating that if those are the characters being used it wasn't jusr his decision

I'm telling you in my opinion it is a worse choice. Hank Pym is contemporaries with Tony Stark not old enough to be his father.
It was mainly Wright's choice, and Marvel let him cook. I guess they shouldn't have and just gotten him off the project a lot sooner.
