Seemed like there too many IT movies this season. Wicked and Emilia Perez were trying hard to be that one as was the Brutalist which I haven't seen yet. They all couldn't win but each got a major award to shut them up lol well aside from wicked thank god.

Adrien Brodys speech has to be the worst speech of all time. Breh said "turn the music off, I won't be egregious" and proceeded to mumble the most self serving arrogant nonsense. He's a great actor but I had no idea he was like that.

Something as unapologetically weird like The Substance was embraced for a large part of the awards circuit, but even that seemed to struggle with the Oscar voters in the end. Hope I’m wrong, but I think it’ll play out a similar way.
Then you got other talents like Nolan, Spielberg, the Daniels (?), and Peele lurking in the cut with their features during that ‘27 cycle. It’s gonna be interesting.
