Lions can just go BPA. Don’t necessarily need to trade down. Think they get a comp pick next year for Jonah Jackson. So trading a pick next year makes sense. Still alot of interior offense and defensive lineman that should be there in 2nd. Might be best to fill Josh Reynolds in FA. Bring Chark back maybe

They just better get a kicker on day 3. They cannot go into next season with Badgley as starter. Stanford or Bama kicker

Lions doubling down on secondary, I like it. Would I have taken Cooper Beebe or a safety? Sure. But I like it. Wonder if this is a hint that Branch is going to play a lot more safety this year. Rakestraw and Robertson prob duel it out for slot DB.

I think Joseph had a down year for the most part, and could be the odd man out when the compeition is settled

Carlton Davis (trade from Bucs)
Amik Robertson (free agent signing)
Emmanuel Moseley
Terrion Arnold (rookie)
Enis Rakestraw (rookie)
Khalil Dorsey
---
Kindle Vildor
Steven Gilmore
Craig James

I put the line there because I think the guys underneath will end up cut or on the practice squad. This is a complete remaking of the CB room and it has gone from outright bad to potentially great. If Moseley can't get healthy, or if Davis misses games like he did yearly with Tampa Bay, we won't be relying on undrafted guys or journeymen to start. Guys are going to get injured, it's inevitable. I feel really good about this secondary now. BTW I hope this allows Moseley to take his time and not rush back. Heal up and see how it goes.

Kerby starting spot definitely in jeopardy.

Rakestraw was definitely a BPA pick.

We have the cap space to go get a safety if we don't draft one. I agree Joseph may be the odd man out. Very sloppy player. I love the INTs, he makes some splash plays but also does dumb shyt. I've heard Campbell say Kerby tries to do too much (because CBs were fukking up lol) and it leads to mistakes. If that's true maybe he thrives now that the CBs are improved. If not..ehhh.. On the other side if Iffy can replicate what he did last season he could be an elite safety.

If we draft a safety....lot of guys left who look like Dan Campbell guys. The guy from Air Force, Trey Taylor, seems like the ultimate grit guy and will be available tomorrow.

Still no kicker :beli:

Overall solid draft. Two potential starting CBs. Project T thats a physical freak and backup G that could be starter someday

Knew lions thought more of their edge players than fans do

Draft finished up really strong today. I like it. Wingo is undersized but just the type of DT the staff seems to like: versatile, able to play inside and out, very powerful guy. And the guard that fell to us...I thought he was going in the third round. Zeitler signed a 1 year deal so we now have his replacement for the following year.

I thought we drafted Vaki as a safety but turns out it's RB/special teams mainly. I hope we do something at safety in the coming weeks because we don't have any depth there. Kerby is recovering from hip surgery, won't be back until training camp (and I'd imagine they will slow walk him). Lot of veteran safeties out there right now. Regardless of the injury I'm not sure Kerby Joseph is a guaranteed starter.

Roster is in a great place right now. Only question marks for me are depth at center and safety.
