According to @MartyMcFly's logic the Fast & Furious crew aren't leads either because they start the film barbecuing with the family and end the film barbecuing with the family just the same, while the villain is the one with the character defining arc because they started the film angry as fukk trying to take over the internet by nano-hacking satellites but end the film either in prison reflecting on the loss of their billion dollar sponsored private army or also barbecuing with the family.

Pretty sure it'll be Mank. not my favorite of the bunch but it's a movie about movies and Hollywood loves patting themselves on the back and giving props to their own history. plus it gives everyone a chance to talk about Citizen Kane. If I had my pick, it would be Chicago 7 but that walks away with best adapted screenplay and probably nothing else

I havent seen it, but I hear Lee Daniels fukkery is going to cost her the oscar.

The movie as a whole is just OK but Day's performance is amazing and she elevates the middling effort that Daniels put forth as a director.

It's really strange. I had all of the time in the world to watch movies on streaming in 2020, but I didn't, and it was the perfect time to do so. Its one of this things that you don't really think about until much later and your actions just miff you.

b/c none of them look uplifting or distracting. they seem like a slog that will only further the depression of life in 20-21.
