And yet, just what Oscar did Denzel win for that movie tho, lol!
I agree. because the governing body of the oscars is infallible now?

Palm Springs was good but whatPalm Springs was better than 95% of this shyt
whatBreak it down to me in nikka terms
To add to @Jello Biafra's point, LaKeith did have an arc in the fact that he went from being a just stealing scumbag to one that had inner conflict and turmoil about what he was doing and also even believing his character to the point his inner conflict eventually gets the best of him from the epilogue status.
in the most miserable year in modern history, i can't fathom sitting down and dedicating time to an endless amount of streaming service quality prestige dramas. I will watch Judas, Sound of Metal and One Night in Miami one day, but can't even try to get in the midset to watch some depressing shyt about an asian family starting a farm in the racist south, or some middle aged woman living in her van. Trial of the Chicago 7 isn't good either. i'd actually argue it was "bad." Sasha's accent was terrible and inconsistent. I thought he was brutal in that movie. Everyone else was mostly forgettable, but he stuck out as bad and i love the guy.

Of course not. That post was to easily counter yours and expose Oscar inconsistency at the same time.
I feel that but inner conflict that resolves itself in the epilogue isn't for me a part of the film narrative. it's taking the "oh by the way here's what happened" and tacking it on for emotional heft rather than including it in the narrative.
I feel where you guys are coming from, just completely disagree
Still nails home the point, regardless if they showed it or not tho. The last interview scene itself also rather lends into where he was going with that as well, so that was shown enough, really.
That's cool. I both don't feel where you're coming from, nor agree.
No the fukk he doesnt.Nominating both Lakeith and Daniel for Best Supporting is stupid as fukk. Lakeith is CLEARLY the lead in that film.
Congratulations to both of them. They killes their roles and the movie was excellent but having both of them in the same category could lead to vote splitting and Daniel CLEARLY deserves it
Sure I am. Im the cacest of the cacs. He still doesnt deserve even a nomination for his performance. Let alone winning over Lakeith. Wasnt a good perfomance and wasnt an accurate portrayal.CAC ALERT
