facade or not, there will never not be a need to introduce yourself to the voters. complaining about this is like complaining about preview before a movie, you dont want to see it? don't tune in this early, the heavy policy debates don't start until later

I know that but that you know what....
that's maybe why there's so many candidates.
Many during the republican debates complained that some were being forced to campaign when they didn't want to run for president.
They put 20 candidates to flood the debate floor while those talking actual policies won't even make it to when they start talking about it.

1st Round Playoff Exits
Opinion | Joe Biden Doesn’t Look So Electable in Person

This is how I felt watching Biden in the debate, after reading this op ed a few days before. I saw everything she was talking about.
Haven't read it yet, but based off the title and Biden body language alone he ain't ready.

Dude is a coward man.
Like he was ducking and dodging reporters after the debate.

During the debate he constantly was trying get bailed out of talking.

They practically handed him the debate, and he couldn't live up to the expectations.

He aint the one, 45 would eat him alive.

this is not a tentpole policy, so no, i don't agree with breh who said "why wouldnt you vote for bernie when he wants to erase debt", but it is an idea i support, i know and see first hand who it affects, and it's the people who don't have grandma's inheritance waiting on them, or a gift from mom and dad. the debt being taken on to so-called better your life is setting people back...(you're also forgetting those who have debt from degrees they never finished)

But the ones that this helps the most
DO have the inheritance coming their way. White boomers about to pass down homes and inheritance to white millennials :skip:

This will help people like me and you sure, but what percentage are we in our own community? :ld: Fact is people like us are in the black upper class by numbers alone and no we don’t need to be bailed out.

I like my wealth redistribution to go from top to bottom not the other way around.

y'll greatly underestimate how many people do not Trump at all.

not to mention

Warren has a better following with black women than Kamala does, on top of that she actually has ideas that resonate with a wide variety of people.

Kamala / Warren ticket?

Yeah Trump is not losing against that ticket :gucci:

Nah he would do much better vs trump, trump basically can’t attack his greatest weaknesses which is his racial past. That said Biden has a history of choking on the big stage.

You don't just run for office when you don't want to. It is an expensive and time consuming effort that requires a person to commit to a host of obligations for a year plus.

People who run for president either want to be president or they want to increase their own viability in whatever area they have interest. There is always a personal desire there.

you've made this up in your mind, there are those kids, but many of them also don't have debt, their parents had college savings for them and enough money to write checks for them in the first place.

and why does it have to hit some % threshold? breh, the black folks i know, we make a lot but are saddled with student debt, how the hell is this setting up our kids for future financial success or stability? at some point, some part of our community has to be able to generate generational wealth, this will be part of the start. it's a slow crawl and every piece of the puzzle helps - higher min wage, free/low cost college, student loan forgiveness, and (the never happening) reparations

How high are your loans that you can't pay them off in 10 years? :what:
i know plenty of people who cant pay them off in 10 years, that's why it's a problem. i talk to folks well into their 40's still paying loans. interest accrues on these shyts, and if you can't make extra payments on them, you're basically treading water. it's the whole reason this is becoming an issue, the amounts of the loans are getting bigger, but they're also increasingly unable to be paid back. this is why i feel some sort of forgiveness needs to happen, if you've faithfully paid loans for 10 years and they're not gone, at some point they need to just say - "ok thanks, we appreciate you trying, you're done"

The fact that people wouldn't vote for Kamala Harris because of a white husband is just entirely depressing, but I have to think, without being naive, that many people, not on Twitter, or on Facebook, don't feel that way.
It is indeed a shallow concept but it is not so much about her husband being white as it is how phony her "blackness" feels. She comes off as appropriating her black side for recognition and votes. The test will be when and how she handles someone questioning why she does not promote her Indian heritage or proudly proclaim to be bi-racial.

But that didn't answer my question. How high are your loans that you can't pay them off in 10 years? And while we're at it, what do you do and how much do you make?

Those are 3 questions that should be answered when one decides to tell me how bad their loans are?

You don't want free healthcare but you want me to pay your bills which you chose to incur? :what:

Let me guess, bootstraps....

You have sounded like an out of touch republican throughout this thread.
