Even withpeople casually ripping holes thru reality in dr strange…this, and the stillborn ice mountain celestial gotta be the wildest still
I fukking love The Eternals lol, I enjoyed that much more than the latest Spider-man once the fanfare wore off. And yes, the things that happened in it will have huge effects on what comes next and will have added value to the movie because of it.
Mutants = "Devients" in the sacred timeline. If you look at the comics, there is an Eternals/X-men/Avengers cross over with tie ins to Hickmans X-men runs which tells me mutants (not nesecerily the X-men specifically) will have a lot to do with the celestials, genetic tampering...kinda like ancient aliens/Annunaki theories where man-kind made the evoltuoiary leap dude to outside interferance.

Interesting thought process. there have been 4 MCU releases since that movie came out and not a single mention of the shyt that happened in eternals
Those releases aren't chronological though.
- NWH picks up directly after FFH, they occupy the same space in the timeline.
- MOM as part of the multiverse saga/trilogy presumably picks up after NWH.
- Eternals is set after Shang Chi (the rings are celestial tech)
-Moon Knight actually had Eternals cameos planned but got cut becasue it would fukk up their budget, the show would have suffered elsehwere.
So even if we place MOM as happening way after NWH it's the only project that doesn't reference the emergence.

You should check out The Leftovers on HBO Max if you haven't already brehImagine half the ppl you know gone, everyone at your job, ppl you love, maybe a s/o or spouse. Chaos brehs. Maybe humanity bands together, we go to counseling, you heal you move on. You make new friends, you find a new lover, it's been five years! There would be a big wealth shift/transition, Humans adapt. Then all of a sudden all these ppl show up again...they need jobs, they want their love back, they need their identity back. shyt would be chaos. Govts would crumble under the pressure. PPL out there making RIP Tony Stark murals like there wouldn't be massive other problems for everybody else to deal with

But aside from the cosmic energy signatures and the 10 rings/10 Eternals, we go from the post credit scene where Bruce and Wong come to the conclusion that the rings are ancient and acting as a beacon, signaling to who tf knows where.
To the next film (chronologically) we have what is essentially the god of the old testament (Arisham the judge) poking his head through the clouds lol

if agents of shield was still on, and canon, it would have been a good place to address all this without having to create an entire new show about civilians in the MCU

was it clear they could see Arishem tho? or were they just reacting to the sky dimming, the sudden sounds and etc but can't see the source of where it comes from?
it'd be wild if the whole world saw that and it wasn't automatically an avengers level threat where shield/sword pulls up with the team lol
