Oculus if fukking up the launch. I ordered within minutes of the preorder window and still haven't got a shipment date. Don't expect to get this till mid-summer. My HTC Vive is coming sooner than my Rift. Facebook or Oculus really fukked up with the launch. Nobody but initial KickStarter backers have units. I was expecting to get mine this week, but it's looking like I won't get mine until the middle of the month

With a preorder right now, you're looking at July.

Also, your PC is a laptop, right? Keep in mind you need 3 USB 3.0 connections and 1 USB 2.0 one. Make sure your graphics card can handle the rift too. There's a program on the Oculus website that can check your pc, to make sure it compatible

I think you might guy be outta luck. Most laptops don't have 3 USB 3.0 inputs and another 2.0 input too. Plus, I think you have an 870m, if I remember correctly. That's not gonna be strong enough for the Rift. You should definitely check out the program. You might have to cancel that order, unfortunately...

You really should run the Oculus Rift program to see if your GPU is up to snuff though. Just saying. It would be a shame to spend damn near $700 on something that won't work with your setup

Oculus is compensating by covering all shipping costs for all orders placed through today. This saves quite a lot of money for everyone, especially Australian pre-orders (originally $132 in shipping alone).

My shipping costs were removed, but Oculus fukked up the launch so fukking bad. They had 4 months to make these headsets and they're now just discovering component shortages?

HTC already charged me for my Vive, and I expect it to ship next week. HTC is gonna completely take over the VR game. They actually know how to do this shyt.

Oculus, or FB or whoever, are looking like complete amateurs.

If it wasn't for me wanting to play Lucky's Tale so bad, I'd cancel my Rift preorder. It's been a complete fukk up all around.

They're gonna go from the number 1 anticipated VR headset to "nobody cares anymore" starting next week. Lucky Palmer

No, they basically have the exact same specs, except the Vive has two sensors and a front facing camera. The headset resolution is the exact same. So the Vive isn't any better at video than the rift, and you still need an equally powerful pc
