and as far as projects, projects is one the worst government programs ever, every project in the country should be torn down, the government should not be in the business of owning the home of an american citizen unless its the president

projects essentially violate the economic and privacy rights of the tenants and create a situation where families are caught in situations where they never get ownership.

ownership of property is the basis of the american economic system, every person living in the projects is pretty much isolated from the economic system just by living in projects

my experience from living in them and studying them is one of the reasons i realized the limits of leftist ideologies and like public schools its another example of black people conflating their economic interests with liberal ideologies and leading to economic stagnation

I was being sarcastic. In retrospect, not a classy move. I apologize.

But it makes me a little angry how far people go to downplay whatever aspect of a problem isn't convenient to their beliefs. For TWISM its the effects of institutionalized racism. For Gravity its the effects of the bad decisions made by black people. You put the two's views together you have the whole picture. But TWISM's self hate and Gravity's "fukkaccrakkkkaitis" forbid them from looking at the situation objectively. Its kind of pointless to even discuss things with these kinds of people.

i never said i was against pursuing workplace discrimination or working against institutional racism, im all for it, i just disagree that something like that is fundamental to black prosperity or that those are the fundamental issues that effect how i vote

Again, you are assigning points to me that I never made, I said from the jump street that our biggest impediment is our decision making. However just because we make poor choices doesn't mean we deserve second class treatment from the govt... that is where Obama comes in. Why is this point so hard for you to understand?

And what issues do you vote on? Who did you vote for this presidential election?

What are we to do when every single candidate is bought and paid for... is it even POSSIBLE to get into that position without? Is it possible to make any decisions in office that go against those forces?

Too bad that we haven't had a popular politician come on the scene in the last 10 years who could have taken the lead and become the poster child for campaign finance reform and use public financing to win an election. :obama:

You can use whatever word you want to describe him but any reading of the history of the prison industrial complex you end up with Biden as chairmen of the judiciary committe chairman, every crime legislation passed since the 80 has Biden fingerprints if not it was directly authored by Biden beginning with the mandatory sentences for drug crimes and high prison time for crack, those came from Biden

That is why I never liked Joe Biden and was completely sickened by Obama selecting him as his running mate. Biden is a horrible person who should be shipped back to that shythole state he comes from ASAP.

And the idea of for profit prisons is one of the most despicable things to happen in this country. When you create a situation where prison is a business that creates a lobbying class then you are invariably going to get politicians creaating law that make it easier to lock people up and judges more inclined to want to lock people up becuase they are all being paid by for profit prisons to make sure that as many beds are filled as is humanly possible. Some things should not be privatized and the function of incarcerating citizens is one of them.

TWISM wants to pretend that Republicans don't profit from the PIC though. Apparently the only person benefitting from/behind the the PIC is Joe Biden. People like Reagan and those who hang off his every word + idea are not relevant to the PIC discussion.

The problem here is that you're projecting. You're the one who is being short sighted here, not I. I've done nothing but speak the truth. Like Nicholson said though, a lot of people just can't handle the truth. I haven't downplayed the need for blacks(us) to do better. My whole position on the issue is that we need to segregate ourselves to a certain extent because that's the only way that we will overcome as a people/community. Of course the self destructive culture within our community has to change in order for us to do better, but you can't solve that problem by simply saying "hey black people, we gotta do better". That's no different from Nancy Reagan saying "just say no" to drugs. To solve the problem you must identify the cause. Like I said, black babies are not born with self destructive "I don't wanna be shyt" mentalities. Babies black, white, brown, ect. aren't born thinking that dark skin is associated with being "bad" while light skin is associated with "good". Like I said to you earlier, those feelings are ingrained in people by our society/environment and "brainwashing" begins as soon as a person is exposed to any element of our society. Our society tells us that black people are inferior and we have a system in place that is designed to ensure that. It's not about me having a "I hate all white people" position. I'm just keeping it real. You can disagree, but don't try and dismiss my position by misrepresenting it. We obviously have to do better, but we can't do better until we understand why we're doing bad in the 1st place.

There is def an element of black inferiority in the media but lets keep it real

"White superiority" has nothing to do w/the success of Tyler Perry, for example. "White superiority" has nothing to do with the proliferation of goofy black reality shows like Love And Hip Hop. "White superiority" has nothing to do with the continued success of hardcore/gangsta rap and the fact that its messages resonate so deeply w/us, even in its hypocrisy and short sightedness. Its important to recognize when white America plays games- for example the "magical negro" phenomenon in Hollywood- but to argue that that outside force is the controlling factor in where we are? You can *maybe* argue that some acts/incidents steered us one way over the other, and some aspects of America encourage bad decisions, but at the end of the day we still have free will/decision making power and misuse it.

This talk of segregation and making enemies out of a white boogeyman is just creating a vehicle to abandon personal responsibility. Even if white America controlled us at the end of the day that is beyond our control. We have to focus on what we can control... which right now are the choices/decisions we make on a daily basis, and how we leverage our power to use the system to get what we want.

Tyler Perry is a self made black man, doing big things and employing thousands of people. And so many in our community hate the brother because they don't find his movies entertaining. I mean you will have people say they actually hate this man. This is another problem in our community. We can't rally behind each other for shyt and we always find ways to tear each other down. We don't patronize our own business, and rather go shop with the asians or arabs. There is a severe lack of community with us, it more about self as opposed to the 60's, 70's.

Hey I am not knocking the dude's hustle, but you look at the messages, characters and images perpetuated in dude's films, they run counter to the kind of thinking we need to adopt to succeed. The continual demonizing of educated black men in his movies is more than enough for me to :pacspit: in his general direction. But then, I can't really put all the blame on him, as lets face it, black people would rather see Tyler Perry acting a fool in a wig + dress than see a family like the Huxtables on the big screen. Big Meech was a self made black man who employed a lot of people, that doesn't mean he should be emulated/admired/listened to

you said that I was downplaying workplace discrimination, and i am, and I was explaining why I downplay it

in my opinion Obama has done as well as anybody can when it comes to workplace discrimination and enforcing civil rights laws and I think his education initiatives have been good

The point I'm making is that black people should not be bamboozled into thinking that fighting workplace discrimination is the pillar of black progress, it isn't, the pillar of black success is black education, we can still succeed even if everybody hates us, that has been proven by black Wall Street and by the jews of Europe

I voted for Obama because he is black, I think the cultural and psychological impact of having a black president superceded any policy differences, it was such a singular event that it called for a racial vote

But overall Obama has done exactly what he said he was gonna do, if you are disappointed by Obama perhaps you should have read the Democratic Party platform, what he did in that speech in Chicago is exactly the reason why I voted for him and I think he needs to do more things like that, if you want to put pressure on Obama it's pretty simple, don't vote democratic

Thats why unlike you, you don't see me going around violating the intellectual rights of black people that vote republican and why i support Tim Scott

I never said its just joe Biden, but you and others where attacking Tim Scott and sayi g that anybody that votes for a republican is a sellout becuase republicans are racist and support policies that go against black people, I just said that if you used that standard and being that you believe the PIC to be such a singularly awful thing how do you guys explain your support of the architect of the PIC which is joe biden

I remember I even posted a link to a crime bill that was co sponsored by Biden and strom Thurmond

And till this day I have never gotten a proper response as to why using your own stated standards Biden isn't a piece of shyt racist and why any black person that supports him isn't a sellout

Obama has not done what he said he was gonna do. Guantanamo, "big business", repealing Bush tax cuts, taking a harder line with Iran, etc. etc. Obama has fallen short on a laundry list of items he called "top priorities" in his 2008 campaign

And for the 20th time, I never said anything about workplace discrimination being the pillar of black progress... you are beginning to piss me off with all these points you assign to me that I don't make

And who did you vote for in 2012?

I never said its just joe Biden, but you and others where attacking Tim Scott and sayi g that anybody that votes for a republican is a sellout becuase republicans are racist and support policies that go against black people, I just said that if you used that standard and being that you believe the PIC to be such a singularly awful thing how do you guys explain your support of the architect of the PIC which is joe biden

Joe Biden is a POS for his role in the PIC, but at the end of the day the choices we had were

2008: first black president + POS or POS + retard

2012: 2 POS backed by party that is partially racist or 2 POS affiliated w/the party of Lee Atwater

You keep saying we shoudl champion blacks who vote Republican but offer no reason why we should vote Republican besides "exercising intellectual freedom"... should someone vote counter to their interests just for the sake of exercising the ability to choose?

Third parties don't need to win; they just need a big enough chunk of votes to put some fear into the Big Two to make them stop acting like the people work for them instead of the other way around.
