Same here. When I was living in Louisiana for a couple of years, coming from LA and hearing about dudes wearing Reeboks was strange.

The only Reeboks we wore were the Iverson's

Js are ubiquitous. Coast to coast and globally. The question is what footwear is part of the southern identity. Only thing I can think of is “soldier” reeboks.

I always thought it was NY they didn’t even call them Air Force ones until the Nelly song. We in the south used to call them uptowns or Big Nikes.
