Air Forces 1 is a worldwide shoe imo. I grew up in the Midwest-South and Nikes we’re always the #1 shoe and Forces had a simple casual look that you could wear it with anything.

A white pair of forces, with a white tee and some nice jeans held me down in high school. :mjlol:

I prefer Nike Cortez over AF1’s tho…That’s the GOAT Nike casual sneaker imo :wow:

:camby:

NYC started AF1's. I used to walk through Harlem in the early 90's and everyone had them on in the summer. That's why they were called Uptowns. Nelly didn't put that goofy ass song out til 2002. Y'all were a decade late.

Timbs, sneaker culture in general, Polo, North Face, Hilfiger, high end designer clothing...all New York.

La had Cortez's.

DMV had NB's.

The South was never known for being fly.

This is what I was eluding to earlier. NYC was the trendsetters in fashion and music. People in the south wore what a lot of yall wore because it was pushed through the media. Yall rappers came here we supported their tours we showed hospitality to your region. So if we don’t have no style yall don’t because we got it from yall. Once yall fell off and never recovered you started seeing how other areas did things. Now you have the south influencing NYC. Just make sure you show respect when you come down here. :birdman:

Baltimore
It's funny how MD and DC are considered the North when they are technically part of the South.
Until the Master P/Cash Money era, Baltimore was Mini New York, dress, music, slang, the works. The rest of the state and DC had a more "country" (no disrespect to my DMV brehs) aesthetic.

Man please:mjlol:

We're not talking music but style. The South still doesn't influence that.

Yall had yall run now it’s up. I recall Camron and them Dipset n1ggaz wearing long white tees. That just what the game is. It always travels. Now yall dudes looking and sound like some chiraq drill artist. That 90s Ralph Lauren fly 360 waves ain’t running the game no more. The problem is with you NY city slickers is yall want everyone to praise yall while yall sh1t on every other region. That’s why yall lost it and don’t have an identity today all yall do is reflect on the 80s and 90s. I remember when the gangs start popping up dudes was like they not real we don’t gangbang on the east not realizing that culture travels.

NYC is the style capital

maybe that could change after a extinction level event or something

but until the world ends & begins again it simply is what it is HA

That California Lifestyle ...
Pharrell put Bape on in the US so technically it depends on what you consider Virginia., Biggy died way before Bape was a thing.
The web saying ...

Pharrell and Wayne fell out about Bape ...

Timestamped :

And Birdman not paying Clipse for "What Happened to That Boy/Grindin' " ?

So Pharrell never worked with another Cash Money Artist ...Wayne started wearing BBC :dame:and Bape so Pharrelll dropped :
