I was getting by just counting calories for a long time but now I just started counting macros and its great. Mine are

P:160
F:50
C:180

Why do so many people eat so little carbs? I've been eating them fine this whole time and my weight loss has not stopped. I don't know how the fukk you guys do it. I love the burst of energy right after you eat a bunch of them. I struggle the most with getting the fats in but I'm learning nuts, avocado, extra virgin olive oil, rotisserie chicken for 5 at Walmart has a lot of fat. Or I'll just eat some candy lol.

This is what I ate today/will be eating.

Breakfast
227 grams of nonfat Greek yogurt
40 grams of Raisin and spice instant oatmeal
100 grams of green apple
55 grams of peanut butter granola
All mixed together.

Lunch
200 grams of skinless chicken breast
70 grams of avocado
100 grams of chickpeas

Dinner
100 grams of skinless chicken breast
100 grams of broccoli
100 grams of cauliflower
100 grams of carrots
70 grams of avocado

Post workout
1 Scoop vanilla protein+water

I try to make sure I do at least 20 minutes of cardio during every workout just in case some extra calories sneak in from some where

Whats your current height and weight?

Here's what I ate today will be eating

Breakfast
40g Maple and Brown Sugar Oatmeal
50g Apple & Raisin Granola
3 Hard Boiled Eggs(with a tiny bit of lettuce and buffalo sauce-doesn't count)

Lunch
200g Skinless Chicken Breast
15g of Bacon
20g of Italian blend cheese
80g of Classic romaine salad

Dinner
100g of broccoli+100g of carrot+100g of cauliflower
100g of sweet potato w/100g of chickpeas
40g great value instant oatmeal banana and cream

Also throughout the day I'm snacking on a bag of Jack Links Chicken Jerky which has really good macros and was only a dollar :gladbron:

To be completely honest when I got to work I was offered a slice of pizza and couldn't resist. I work security so I'll just walk for an hour, count it as me patrolling, and burn it off.

I stacked a huge chunk of my carbs right before I lift hoping I get an energy boost. Don't think it will matter so maybe just an mental boost? Or is that bad?

Best time to consume carbs is after your workout when your body and muscle can actually use the spike in insulin for good. Technique is known as "carb backloading" and is extremely effective (on a personal level and throughout the fitness industry).

The goal is to stay away from spiking your insulin period (ketosis) or to avoid spiking it until your body needs it (intermittent fasting + carb backloading).

You can down a pre-workout to get your energy up a bit; or grab Yohimbine or something similar and pop one before you workout. You'll sweat balls at the gym.

I'm a big fan of CBL but the insulin spike reasoning is on shaky ground these days.

Otherwise when done correctly it's :wow:

How often do y'all use coconut oil?

I've been using it religiously. The expensive, organic ones. Smells like the Caribbean when I smell the aroma of coconuts :wow:

Are you doing any particular version of it? I was doing it and then fell off when work started getting crazy and working late and eating the food provided at the office. I got re focused when I was binge-watching this show "My Diet is Better than Yours" on ABC, and this dude had his client eating basically keto style and is losing the most weight.

"Steak and eggs" but I'm not a big beef eater, so I'm just doing it with chicken, and throwing in some ground beef here and there. I just finished the first week of having 2 chicken legs/thighs and 4 eggs (all cooked in butter) for lunch and dinner. My cheat window is Friday night through Saturday night, then resume Sundays. It's actually not bad. My energy levels are good, and I was able to power through this week's cardio conditioning workout I'm doing. I have 4 weeks left in the cardio program so I'm gonna stick with the diet until then. I am 99.9% sure I will reach my goal weight by next month. I'm so excited :mjcry:

I just read something about steak and eggs last week, was actually gonna give it a try this week but got sick. On some research I've seen a lot of people saying how well it works, particularly when combined with IF.

Yea, my IF window is 12pm-6pm, so it works perfectly with what this diet suggests (lunch and dinner). I drink a cup of black coffee in the morning, and it helps curb my appetite until lunch. I also drink flavored sparkling water because it helps me from feeling too queasy from eating all that fat.
