I'm doing a low-carb cutting cycle for the next twelve weeks (beginning Thursday January 28th). Was going to start a nutrition thread but this popped up.

Will post here and will post result if folks are interested.

Also following a six-day/week cutting workout plan. More volume, lighter (obviously), and short rest periods for 3-5 days. Then doing heavy for 1-3 days.

Back on the grind, got my diet on point now after fukkin up and ordering pizza during the Championship games :snoop:
dont think of your caloric intake in terms of days...think of how you ate for the whole week.
If you think you ate too much today...just cut back a little the next couple days.

I ate a whole pizza twice a month when I was cutting.

been focused on bulking the past 3 months and i've been between 190-193 lbs the past 2 weeks with a caloric intake of 2700 calories and this is tough as hell to get in:damn: once i get to about 2400 calories i have to force myself to get in the rest:why: i can't imagine having to eat 3000 calories or more which is what i'm aiming for :sadcam:

I was getting by just counting calories for a long time but now I just started counting macros and its great. Mine are

P:160
F:50
C:180

Why do so many people eat so little carbs? I've been eating them fine this whole time and my weight loss has not stopped. I don't know how the fukk you guys do it. I love the burst of energy right after you eat a bunch of them. I struggle the most with getting the fats in but I'm learning nuts, avocado, extra virgin olive oil, rotisserie chicken for 5 at Walmart has a lot of fat. Or I'll just eat some candy lol.

This is what I ate today/will be eating.

Breakfast
227 grams of nonfat Greek yogurt
40 grams of Raisin and spice instant oatmeal
100 grams of green apple
55 grams of peanut butter granola
All mixed together.

Lunch
200 grams of skinless chicken breast
70 grams of avocado
100 grams of chickpeas

Dinner
100 grams of skinless chicken breast
100 grams of broccoli
100 grams of cauliflower
100 grams of carrots
70 grams of avocado


Post workout
1 Scoop vanilla protein+water

I try to make sure I do at least 20 minutes of cardio during every workout just in case some extra calories sneak in from some where

When I was first starting out I was extra skinny so I was eating 3000-3400 calories per day:dead:

I was tired all the time just from eating:huhldup:


I been slowly scaling back now I'm at about 2750:DKPop:

Damn, so where you at now?

What are your stats (height/weight/lifts), what your physique like (compare to a celeb if you can find one), and what is your goal my dude?

I started lifting last February so I'm almost exactly 1 year in.


5'10, somewhere around 157 +/- most days. I was up to 160 then I cut back 100 cals/day and got back on my carb cycling and dropped fast.:shaq2:

Bench: 1RM: 225

Squat: Reps @ 225 (haven't tried to max out)

I have a very fast metabolism from running track:wow: So I have to eat big to grow. :yeshrug:

My goal is to get up to 175 lean by next year :blessed:



n/h x1000:dame: but I'm built similar to Odell here. Someone in another thread awhile back said they stood next to him and they don't think he's over 170 so it makes sense:manny:

Quads are smaller tho:mjcry: My knee was fucced up from track so I've been easing back into all the leg work. A lot of muscles imbalances from running in a damn circle so much:snoop:

Are you doing any particular version of it? I was doing it and then fell off when work started getting crazy and working late and eating the food provided at the office. I got re focused when I was binge-watching this show "My Diet is Better than Yours" on ABC, and this dude had his client eating basically keto style and is losing the most weight.
