Wtf
Still waiting for that Silver Surfer standalone...I'm irritated that he missed out on Infinity Gauntlet. It just isnt right.Disney's made eight films that crossed $1 billion. Aquaman made over one billion. I don't think Joker's $772 million is gonna make Disney scramble and change up their plans all of a sudden
So they make a good serious movie once a decade is the goal? I mean I like TDKR but it seems to get mixed reviews and BvS was a dumpster fire IMO. It's hard to make men in tights grown up and gritty. In real life it is absurd. They did it with Dark Knight.
DC should serve as the grown up gritty arthouse studio.
Marvel should stay the fun time for kids studio.
There's nothing to figure out. It's about The Joker, who is arguably the GOAT villain.I'm still trying to figure out the mainstream appeal of the movie. It's a slow burn psychological thriller.

Yeah, maybe but I do believe due to the difficulty of going that route they would have more duds than hits but as far as differentiating themselves that's good strategy. Execs whole job is to ensure investors get their return only the good ones can do that and allow creatives to flourish. When you say 'grown up and gritty' you don't mean more realistic? That would be a better strategy instead of trying to follow the Marvel blueprint but it's impossible when the execs are trying to please investors instead of allowing creatives to flourish.
Off course it's hard. That's why Nolan is the GOAT.
These are fantasy films. Real life need not apply.
Disney has repeatedly said they're gonna keep Deadpool with an R rating which will set precedent for how they handle Marvel content with more adult themes. They got Hulu, Fox and other distributors that have released rated R movies under their umbrella over the years.

I like their approach. The director said that they are no longer going to do a forced R rated movie which was my only issue with the deadpool movie.Disney has repeatedly said they're gonna keep Deadpool with an R rating which will set precedent for how they handle Marvel content with more adult themes. hope so. i liked the tone of the xmen movies. just some of the execution wasI like their approach. The director said that they are no longer going to do a forced R rated movie which was my only issue with the deadpool movie.
Imo, Disney movies were never too cartoony. The avengers gave me more of a GI JOE nostalgia growing up which is what I liked. I can see X Men and fantastic four going for their own tunes.
Joker dialogue was trash.and dumbing down their films for china, filled with cheap dialog and one liners so they are easier to translate
spending $$ on big name actors and special effects, do you think this will effect the marvel movies going forward?
will they give more chances to indie/adult films like deadpool that we would never get with disney?
imho the average comic book breh has a lot of power...comic heroes have been around a LONG time and they is a huge demographic old to young of people that grew up with them
Joker dialogue was trash.
Just this clown laughing crying and acting like a bytch for 2 hours.
