Sabonis was gonna get a max regardless, even though he's been a poor playoff performer in his career, he's very valuable in regular season, and was just all NBA. Was a no brainer for Kings, they just have to hope he learns how to be better in playoffs.

Name the 3 centers better than Sabonis not named Jokic and Embiid. He held his own against top centers all season btw. Yeah he got outplayed sometimes but he wasn’t out there not getting his numbers.

AD has played 90% of his minutes at the C for like the last 3 years. He’s a C

Have you watched any Ayton Sabonis matchups? Ayton had one bad series against the best player in the league. Suns don't make it to the finals without Ayton and don't get past the Pelicans when Booker got hurt without Ayton. There were even moments in the Clipper series where Ayton kept the team in the game while everyone else was missing shots. Ayton has more playoff success than Sabonis and it's not even close.

Instead looking up Sabonis vs teams look up Sabonis vs Ayton. Sabonis has had good games against Phoenix when Ayton was out with injury
