I already broke down the whole Jay-Z / J. Cole scheme for ya'll before

its all a ploy to make J. Cole seem like an underdog. the fact that they've never been pictured together and all that jazz about Cole claiming Jay gave him a verse last minute, etc. is all bullshyt to play into the J. Cole underdog scheme. The fact that this thread even exists means you're feeding right into it.

and its so apparent. like come on dog, his album was called THE SIDELINE STORY. THE GODDAMN SIDELINE STORY.

stop playing into these industry tactics and use your brains. you're all being played. I mean doesn't the story of Cole trying to give Jay a demo in the rain and Jay walking past him seem surreal to you? I bet nikkas really believe that happened :mjpls:

you might be right. I remember b4 BP3 dropped and the press were saying he was gonna have drake and kid cudi on his album but no j cole, like b4 the tracklisting dropped. and then they were acting like jay had never heard coles album and just ignored him wanting to get on that god gift song

Think jay's said to hell with even keeping up the pretense of the whole "i'm not just your label head, i'm your friend...your big homie..we're family" thing...so that when the time comes for Cole to get that Tierra Marie/Beans/Freeway "you're dropped from the label" letter from some random lawyer and they call Jigga and can't get him to pick up, he can't say he switched it up on him...he's just a suit now, like nobody expects artists to have personal relationships with the random old white men that run most labels

This post is so real it needs to be framed and put on a wall

Lol y ppl hate this guy for absolutely no reason? :heh: I went to his album release party last September when his album dropped n it was at a no name little spot n jay and beyonce came thru so just cuz there's not pics of them all over google doesn't mean they don't hang out/talk irl

I swear it's like if ur an artist who actually cares about bring a good rapper ppl on here want ur blood...but if u make the most ignorant, non lyrical music u can possibly make (chief keef Trinidad James etc) ppl want u to have all the success in the world ....I guess bad is good now lol

i don't buy that "he's trying to toughen him up" shyt, if J. Cole was a more charismatic/popular artist with the young crowd he'd be taking every chance to stand next to him like he did everyone else under him and every other young star who pops up. J.Cole just doesn't have that same vibe about him...i remember him saying Jay was begging him for a single last album, almost like he had second thoughts

plus you think if Kanye was on Roc Nation Jay would have nothing to do with him :beli:
