I legit think that Jay-z dont really fux with Cole like that. Im starting to think that he prolly didnt even sign him to Rocnation or even actively looked for him. It was prolly sum a&r who was looking for another lightskin Drake (alt costume) rapper at the time around 08 when Drizzy was blowing up.

Surprisingly, Clive and Jimmy are opposite. They really develop relationships with the artist they CARE about. They are more like friends than business partners. Again, this is with the artist they CARE about.

Cole and Jay are at the same parties, both took photos with the same people but not with each other. It's obviously a PR move.
