I totally agree. In both games in Seattle we were taken out of our strength and tried to become a heavily reliant passing team instead of a running team. Seattle has always been susceptible against the run and Frank has made a career of embarrassing them, but for some reason we got away from it. Hopefully when we play in Candlestick (Where Seattle hasn't won since 07, coincidentally) we'll stick to the ground game and wear them out.
.
last game the defense was holding us in the game until they finally fell apart due to the fact we had a shytton of 3 and outs.
to be fair, we werent really able to run, but roman was extremely conservative there, he ran between the tackles play every time almost

with that said, those passing three and outs basically hurt our defense until they couldnt stop shyt. didnt help ian got hurt and we had to put a somewhat unprepared for first team duties dorsey in

Exactly, I actually think if we run the ball like we're supposed to and get some underneath passes out there we can open things up for VD and Quan and Mario. The problem is Seattle defense is made up of very large physical corners and safeties, but if we wear them down with the run game, they will be gassed by the end of the 3rd quarter, you can kinda see that with the Rams game, when even Tayvon Auston started to get free despite his iffy route running. Either way the next game will be power vs. power and that the type of football I love, every yard will be precious and hard earned and we can do it.

We should NEVER stop running the ball. EVER. Roman is bipolar. He'll run the ball heavily then other times he'll go pass happy. The Superbowl was bipolar Roman.

Apparently Aldon turned himself in on weapons charges and bonded out.
I think this indicates that he plans on playing against the Panthers.

http://blog.sfgate.com/49ers/2013/10/30/aldon-smith-meets-with-team-officials-after-posting-bail/

Five weeks after Aldon Smith left the 49ers to enter a treatment center for substance abuse issues, the All-Pro outside linebacker returned to the team facility in Santa Clara on Wednesday.
Smith met with team officials and teammates who were still around during the team’s bye week. Smith has been on the reserve/non-football injury list since Sept. 23, the day after he played in a loss to the Colts.

“It was great to see the reaction of others who saw him and Aldon’s reaction of being back here with some of the guys,” Jim Harbaugh said on 95.7 The Game (audio here). “He looks great, and we’re having a good day. I mean that was the object of today, let’s have a great day. I think that’s the way Aldon’s approaching things.”

This team is the 2011 team on offense all over again.

The passing game leaves a lot to be desired but we found our identity of being a run first team, I like what I see and Kaep looks like the pressure is off him a bit which is good

lets be real, they dont have the personnel to throw the ball like last year in the playoffs. hopefully things open up a little bit with manningham back and eventually with crabs

Yeah, that's why i mentioned Crabs/Ham coming back should be a boost in the arm.

I still think that the pistol/read option not being as effective has hurt the passing game
