AJ was the catalyst for it, and the Takeover matches are what really put the idea in people’s heads that women could wrestle just like the men. AJ, Paige, Emma, Sasha, Bayley, and I think Charlotte all had a hand in that. All the Bella leeches did was bring some eyes to the division through Total Divas, even though Total Divas started tanking when they started centering the show around them.
