SMH @ people claiming the posthumous records shouldn't count to establish dominance. As if it's a given that one can put out multiple-platinum album after multiple-platinum album of mostly unheard music (except for GH) after someone dies at the age of 25. Even at 25, Pac left so much material that he has outsold most of the other legendary artists who sold well after their deaths. It's not at all a given that an artist will continue to sell well years after his death. It only happens to legends really.
People who want to diminish Pac's legacy as an artist claim that 1. Posthumous albums don't count as part of his catalogue of quality music and 2. They shouldn't count in terms of determining his success.
Well, how very convenient.. ..it's almost as if the whole posthumous run didn't happen and they might as well have not released the albums then. It's only because he died, clearly, that millions of people around the world felt somehow magically urged to go out and buy his records even though they were obviously being scammed because there was no music that is worthy of being discussed on there and they didn't really care for his music in the first place. Also, Pac doesn't deserve any credit for it because it was only natural that he had over a hundred unreleased songs recorded at the age of 25, I mean, what artist doesn't? That's their job, right?
Meanwhile, Pac's posthumous run is probably second to only Eminem's run in terms of domination of the charts. His posthumous records also contain arguably as many classic quality songs as other rappers' entire careers and if you count single cd's instead of albums Pac to this day still has released more music in terms of solo albums than Jay-z, Nas and just about every other rapper instead of maybe old school legends like KRS and Too $hort. And they've had the time to catch up for nearly 16 years now. Yet people want to give arguments now how Nas and Jay-z deserve the goat status more because they've been in the game longer and have a deeper catalogue somehow..
