it is going to kill rural public schools... which are basically on life support
poor whites dont even understand that their reps are doing this for the 6 figures and up constituents that are straight up too cheap to pay for private school... which they CAN afford.. the tulsa world newspaper had a big article on it talking about 'trigger' schools that will be able to receive some of these funds, but 'trigger' schools are required to avoid teaching things like CRT (which they dont), marxism (which they dont), and the existence of LGBTQ people (which they dont)

TheColi is one of the few places where I read Black ppl shytting on public education, when that's where most Black kids are getting their education from and always has been.
Most Black children aren't in private school or getting homeschooled, which is a disaster of itself, and public schools aren't as bad as people make them out to be, many of the most successful and prospering people in this world came from public education.
The people that shyt on public schools tend to be the same ones who'll support politicians that have deliberately underfunded these school districts, causing them to be in these in situations.
They have no idea without public school availability, most kids will potentially grow up uneducated especially if their parents can't afford private school and homeschooling has always been frowned upon and rightfully so because the child potentially misses out on learning the necessary tools, skills, etc needed to live a productive life.
Most kids that've been homeschooled tend to grow up as adults on the spectrum of being slow and poorly educated within different facets of life as there's only so much education a parent gonna teach their children compared to professional teachers.

Homeschooling is coddling your children. When they leave your home, you will not be able to shield them from the world. They need to know how to socialize, and navigate in society. They need to be around their peers. We are not going to live in a giant black bubble of Wakanda. And stop telling these kids everyone is out to get them, and everyone is trying to hold them back. What motivation do they have to push, work hard, and put the effort in if they believe some white person is going to knock them down?
Those white parents are looking out for their kids, as they should. You’re supposed to put your own before others. Do you think they give a fukk about another white kid other than their own? So if a white kid got a spot over their kid, are they going to say, “Aw shucks! Well, I’m happy another white kid gets to go to the good school. I’m sure that kid will go on to be successful, and share his wealth with us.”
This is what happens when you get close to your local politicians, and you show up to meetings. Everyone else seems to get that you have to put foots on necks, and money in their pockets, yet all we do is put our hands out, separate ourselves, and get mad when we get left behind. Then we complain that nobody is giving stuff to us.
All I’m saying is, people are going to fight to get what they want. You either fight back, or get left behind. Stop expecting them to give a fukk about us. They don’t, and never will.

Not only that, but how many people are qualified to teach? Look how parents reacted to kids being home during COVID lockdowns. This was across all ethnicities, and incomes. A lot of people don’t even know half the math taught in school. Listen to the way people speak. Kids tend to speak the way their parents speak. Should someone who doesn’t use conjunctions be teaching children about conjunctions?You gotta be some nikka from the suburbs with no real knowledge of the real world.
People are struggling working 2 jobs how in the hell are they supposed to fit in home schooling on top of that?

Send you kids anywhere you want. Why should taxes paid in one area of town be used to finance a private institution somewhere in the same town?
School choice is the gateway for conservatives to dismantle the public school system they have always hated.
Send your child to a private school all day. Don't ask for tax payers money for that.

Tax money is spent in ways that I and millions of others don't approve of. Investing tax money in alternatives to public schools isn't the end of the world.
