Decker is wildly overrated. I live in Denver, so I've seen most of his games the past three seasons. He routinely fukks up in big situations. Whether it's drops or fumbles, that guy cannot be counted on when the team needs him. New York will cut him within two years.

Decker should give Peyton half of his contract.

Bears add DE Willie Young

The Bears have again looked to an NFC North rival with an eye on fixing a leaky defense.

According to Tom Pelissero of USA Today, Lions defensive end Willie Young has reached a three-year, $9 million agreement with Chicago. The contract contains $3.95 million in guarantees, with $2 million to sign,USA Today reports.

Young could start opposite of new Bears end Lamarr Houston in Chicago’s 4-3 front. The 28-year-old Young started 15-of-16 games for Detroit in 2013, notched 47 tackles and three sacks. Young (6-4, 251) ranked 95th on PFT’s Free Agent Hot 100.

Young is the second 2013 defensive starter from a division foe to join the Bears in as many days. On Thursday, the Bears added Packers safety M.D. Jennings, who was tendered as a restricted free agent.

Report - Detroit Lions expected to sign safety James Ihedigbo
Free agent safety James Ihedigbo, who started for the Baltimore Ravens last season, is expected to sign with the Lions per ProFootballTalk.com.

Ihedigbo played for the Ravens under TerylAustin who was the secondary coach. Austin is now the defensive coordinator for the Lions.


The Lions are in need of a starting safety to play alongside Glover Quin.


In 2013 Ihedigbo, 30, had 100 tackles, three interceptions and two forced fumbles as the starting strong safety.


The Ravens drafted Matt Elam in the first round in 2013 who is expected to start now in place of Ihedigbo.


Ihedigbo, who is coming off a one-year $780,000 contract, has played on three consecutive one-year deals.

Not gon stress over Willie Young too much either. Not in the first round, but a DE needs to be drafted, and maybe one of the cheap in Fa as well.

Suh sitting back, watching the Lions do what they do during this time to be sure to sign on with a winner. He's going to get paid big bucks wherever he goes because he's an upgrade wherever he goes. I find it both alarming and unsurprising that he's looking at us like this.

DE Darryl Tapp to sign with Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions moved quickly to replace defensive end Willie Young, agreeing to terms with defensive end Darryl Tapp.

Tapp announced the move on his Instagram account and the transaction was confirmed by the team.

An eight-year veteran, Tapp was a second-round draft pick for Seattle in 2006. After four years with the Seahawks, he was traded to Philadelphia in 2010 for Chris Clemons.

The 6-foot-1, 265-pound Tapp was with the Redskins last season as an outside linebacker, but will return to the defensive end position in Detroit.

Tapp's production has dipped each of the past four seasons since being traded to the Eagles. He's recorded just seven sacks in 50 games during that stretch.

Beyond his role as a pass rusher, Tapp should also contribute on special teams. He's averaged more than 100 snaps on special teams the past two seasons.

Signing with Detroit reconnects Tapp with Lions defensive line coach Jim Washburn. The pair were in Philadelphia together from 2011-12

I don't like how this signing looks. I don't like how he is moving forward to the line. If he were good enough, he wouldn't have had to play LB. Misguided as usual. I just hope homie knocks a nikka out on special teams.

Only reason young started last year was due to jones injury. Jones is a more complete player. With him in lineup our run defense should be near elite. Ansah should only improve, Fairley is playing for contract, and suh is suh. The pass rusher is low on list of lions major needs.
