Da Crime Family was good. It felt like C-Murder's show though. His songs on this album were much better than Bossalinie. In fact, Silkk and P's performances were better on here than their 1999 solos as well. It needed more Mia X and maybe a Mystikal feature. They did a good job of showcasing the new talent and it was a more introspective album than TRU 2 Da Game. They were throwing shots at CMR all over the album ("No Limit Army", "Soldier Til I Die").
I don't know who Chantal is. My guess it was KLC's daughter pressing buttons on the keyboard again as she did on "Bout It". It ended up dope, so KLC left it as is. Chantal never had another credit, so it is still a mystery.
Lot of good mafioso beats on it
P dissed Baby on Hoody Hoo "I ain't no uptown stunna" on the edited version
But said he didn't have beef with them on Soldier Till I Die

Agreed 100%, especially how Da Crime Family was WAY better than all Miller brothers' solo albums. You can just let that album ride thru nicely, front 2 back! Cool intro, good insightful deep cuts, hard club bangers, soldier cuts, nice introductions to new signees (DIG, Popeye were good additions), C came thru, good production throughout, Snoop had two good features, Mac killed it as usual, rare Big Ed/Skull/Pheno appearances, really a hidden gem. No Craig B or Mystikal though, for whatever reason. I prefer disc 1 thoDa Crime Family was good. It felt like C-Murder's show though. His songs on this album were much better than Bossalinie.
