Anyone who uses stictly stats to judge players in a sport like football that has so many variable is a damn fool

Peyton has 31 td's and made players like Moreno and Stokley look like nfl players

And? what is Peyton doing so special again? AD has took an offense thats a joke and made it lethal all while having defenders keying on him all game long. Peyton just doing the same things Tebow is doing except he's doing it better.

People are actually arguing wheter the qb is more imporant then the rb in todays NFL? :wtf:

Tell me the last time a rb lead team won the super bowl? meanwhile in todays nfl you pretty much need a hall of fame franchise qb to win

Dilfer was the last one and that was 12 years ago and before the rule changes

why cant people read on this forum? :mindblown:

Lets put it this way,in todays game a QB throwing for 30+ TD's is not amazing anymore. Where as a RB who's averaging 140+ yards a game and about to break records is fukking GOAT shyt. If u cant get with that then something wrong with you.

Vikings offense is "lethal" :what: Peyton is doing the same thing as Tebow :what:

Peyton has made that team contenders the Vikings might not even make the damn playoffs

Its the most valuable player to a contending team award not the most impressive feat award

If the VIkings dont make the playoffs how the fukk you gonna give Petersen the mvp:mindblown:

Making the playoffs or not is a team effort. And yes the vikings offense is lethal with the run game. Just because they dont have a QB throing for 300+ yards a game doesnt mean its not an effective offense. The fukk you limit yourself to QB's and throwing numbers only or what? :dead:

Moreno's been carrying the load pretty well since McGahee went down a couple of weeks back.

lol @ renaming the award

the award is simply the most "valuable" player

and I can see the case for both Peterson and Manning...either one of those guys not associated with their team and their team isn't competing for a playoff spot

but to act like it's cut and dry would be silly

I disagree...Broncos were a playoff team last year without Peyton.

Yeah...but that was a weird year...stats suggest they got really, really lucky to make the playoffs and win a lot of those games...that was likely a team that should've finished with 6 wins that caught lightening in a bottle...if you brought that same team back they probably miss the playoffs.

Bboystyle thank you for dumbing down the conversation. It's embarrassing. As far as saying AD, who happens to be my favorite player, is the MVP based on his value to his team then you're basically ignoring how MVP has been decided on numerous occasions over the past decade.

MVP has been the equivalent to the most outstanding player award. All of a sudden because people love AD you're trying to use this most important player to his team argument, when if that was the case, we would have to exchange some MVP trophies. If you want to say he's been the most outstanding player, he has. But don't bring in all that other shyt that people generally don't consider (unless it's Peyton Manning involved :rudy:)

With all that said, MVP should probably be split between Peterson and Brady. It's like cats for got that the Broncos have a top 10 defense and the Pats have one of the worst in the NFL. Talib playing for two weeks really made people forget. But if AD does win it, no one can be mad, but you know that Manning mob will give it to him.

They basically have the same team/personnel from last year and not too mention Von Miller and DeMaryius Thomas both are one year older and better. Peyton walked into a team that had talent throughout the team except at QB

Pats D is second in NFL in turnovers...don't get fooled by looking at total D ranking. They get a lot of turnovers to give Pats offense good chances to score.

Either way you wanna define is..most valuable to a team or most outstanding player..the answer to both is Adrian Peterson.

That's if he makes the playoffs, which I hope he does. Maybe that spot light of Ponder being a bum in the playoffs will get him some help. Regardless, it's up to individual voters and he won't win it unanimously, that's only happened once. If he wins it'll be a close vote.

The Pats D being second in turnovers doesn't mean much and you're not aware of the facts if you think they get the Pats good position to score off those turnovers. I mean, that's just a bad argument. I get people want AD to win, but there's no need to use something that weak to make the point.

You just said, "Yes, the Pats D is atrocious but they get timely turnovers, therefore, the total defensive ranking doesn't matter." :aicmon:

Further, those turnovers are usually when the other team is already in scoring position, just like it's been the past 3 years. Let's not get out of hand. Despite the loss, which involved 5 turnovers and 2 INTs, neither of which were Brady's fault, dude nearly led a historic comeback against arguably the best defense in the NFL. The Pats have lost 4 games by a combined total of like 11 points. You cannot downplay someone having to lead nearly the highest scoring offense in NFL history to win games.

I vouched for AD to win this thing weeks ago, but there's no need to try to shyt on Brady and Manning to prop him up.
