You're being purposely dense at this point.

The Navy operates the Master Clock that gives timing to the entire GPS constellation..... so if you've done something as simple as used google maps to get somewhere, or had the right time on your watch, phone or computer... you needed the Navy for it.

What makes you think I’m anti Navy

I have no issue with this. If someone is willing to put their life on the line for the country...why not?

I'd rather have the latter because someone scoring a 10 usually means that they just don't give a fukk, or gave handjobs to pass high school...or both:mjlol:.

In the military, the #1 thing that is preached is "be motivated". Being motivated can take you far.

And also, if you score a 10, you're going to be undes. Ain't no way around that:pachaha:

I'm saying breh.... i don't want either. But give me the dude who scored a 50 cause at the very least i know he's not stupid.

to get something sub-20, you have to literally try to get it. That's the dude they don't trust to do anything but chip paint and put down non-skid..and even then he probably should have supervision.

If anything, not having a Diploma or GED should have been a rate/MOS/AFSC restriction contingent on you completing some DOD GenEd course...and then if desired, you could retake the asvab to be eligible for other opportunites.

Unless they’re all going to be deck swabbys most navy jobs take some form of intelligence

This isn’t good

The new generation are too busy masterbating, playing PS5, doing dumb ass pranks for social media and bringing their tripod everywhere in hopes to strike it rich as an “influencer”

Because there is a literal pay chart based off your rank/years in. This aint the civilian world world breh. Even on the GS side, they have pay grades/steps which would be the civilian equivalent.

Mind you, unless you owe a substantial amount of debt.... just having the burden of not paying for housing, utilities and food makes paying debt down way easier.... but it's definitely a case by case basis.

If your debt is student loan based, it's a good chance you're not coming in as a e-1...or at least will leave boot camp as a e2/e3.

Timing also matters too,This is what the Navy giving out right now. But not everyone is going to qualify for these....and some are rates that aren't for the faint of heart.

Well it's gone be tough for them to get more people. People got $500 car notes, insurance, gas and $15k credit card debt. Sounds like you'd be barely scrapping by on E3/E4 money.

Yes and no....at the very least you'd have to build/maintain financial discipline...which many people don't acquire without being forced to.

Also, that demographic of people either have financial/life obligations that would make enlisting an undesirable decision for them....even if it would give them a better quality of life 4-5 years down the line....they're not the most sought after group to begin with.

But an E3/E4 who doesn't have to pay for meals,housing,utilities... they have more discretionary income in relation to their income than someone who had to pay for those things. Not to mention you may receive special pay depending on the branch or location you're in.

The biggest issue is within the recruiting process itself... A lot of it is the recruiters, but a considerable portion of it is that what the military can provide is not properly marketed towards groups of people who would benefit the most from it. Multiple bad advertising campaigns, recruiters who aren't fit for the jobs and outdated recruiting methods have contributed more to the low numbers than covid, changing opinions on the military and bad press have.

Many younger people have a conscious and don't want to be a part of spreading white extremism and imperialism around the world :yeshrug:

Plus many can make more money and have more freedom than enlisting.

Also, the whole "They defend our rights" doesn't inspire as hard when we never get invaded and have to travel thousands of miles looking for a fight.

No. You just sound like an old fart. :camby: People talk shyt about previous generations:
- Baby Boomers. Irresponsible and fycking too damn much.
- Generation X: Viewed as not having a clue in life. Depictions of Breakfast Club and Animal House were viewed as reflections of them.
- Millennials: All out me, dumb, introverted, liberal, and useless.
- Generation Z: Same bullshyt talking points.

Alright, I'll give you the rundown since I'm actually in the navy:

The pay on that website is cap...kind of. They factor in the insurance benefits as well into the salary, hence the "salary + benefits". Use the below for the salary figures:

When I was an E-1, I was earning a smooth $550 every fukking 2 weeks, which is downright ass, but I wasn't paying for food, rent or utilities at the time, so that money went into savings since I lived in the barracks. As a single E-1 - E-4, you pretty much HAVE to live that way or else you're gonna stay broke and struggling. As an Enlisted sailor, you really don't start making money until you hit E-5 or E-4 with over four years of service.

And I wouldn't even concern myself with going to war. There are a myriad of reasons why a war won't break out that heavily involves the navy, but the most important reason is that no one can fukk with us without suffering an alarming number of casualties.

Edit: I was an E-1 in 2017. They get paid around $700 today, I belive.
Damn. You nikkas was getting paid. I got half of that and was glad when they stopped taking the hundred out my check for my GI Bill. Got that, pay bump cause of promotion and clothing allowance at the same time. I lived it up that weekend lmao

Bro, tbh with you, no one is joining for the reasons y’all keep mentioning. When I worked in TRADOC world, most of them privates joined cause staying at home was a dead end, they had folks to take care of, pay for school, or they wanted a head start and didn’t want to go to school right off the bat. The last of the joining for patriotism ended a few years after 9/11

Yeah, I've heard stories about how the kats that are chiefs now were getting paid like $300 a check back in the day:mjlol:.

And that clothing allowance still hits brazy. Nothing like an extra $350 hitting that bank account:wow:
