People aren't trying to die for this country and we live in a climate of constant conflict. We got a future event internally with this election cycle. Russia-Ukraine, middle east stuff that the US always seems to be involved in.

People keep pushing the military on individuals who don't have great career prospects (and it came be a come-up for them) but some people are opposed to killing. I feel like that perspective gets lost on some. A lot of people are opposed to the idea of brandishing a gun and killing someone.

If you can’t attract talent then you need to do what everyone else has to, increase the pay and benefits until you attract more/better candidates.

But first someone needs to take a look at what the military ACTUALLY needs. We don’t need to be staffing to continue to be the world police.

Mind you, since the military has re-branded recruiters into "talent acquisition"...they've failed to mirror what talent acquisition/recruiting looks like in every other field.

They're not putting their best looking, most qualified, charismatic people into recruiting billets with pay incentives....they're taking people who really don't want to be there, and have them setting up booths at the mall and doing HS visits.

They're raised enlistment bonuses and accession bonus to levels people have never seen...but it doesn't do you any good if you don't have quality recruiters to sell people on the military.

What’s their stance on juvenile records?
You don’t even need to go to high school now, it’s no excuse for listless bums to get their life together

The army tried this last year, got too much push back and had to rescind it
every service takes waivers so for the Navy to say Drop out can join means that it goes way beyond waivers.

A waiver is kind of like a pass that a recriuter can give a certain amount of candidates.

The Reserves routinely takes High schoolers over 18.

I still been thinking about the Air Force, but that pay is trash tbh. I'd definitely be taking a pay cut. Rather try starting my own business

Air Force has the best quality of life of all the branches.

But trying to convince someone to drop a job that makes decent money to go live in the barracks til they can get BAH and make less money is a hard sell.

Most people see the base pay chart, and don't know that things a good portion of peoples military income is untaxed and isn't included in that.

Is says a lot that you have all these people flying American flags and hollering anti woke but won’t join the armed forces

Thing is, many of them are either too fat,too dumb or too broken to join anyways.

Also, these folks are the biggest group of " i would've joined/wanted to...but" liars out there.

These youngsters rather be online for social media than training in water and preparing for battle..

Even the people out here struggling hard isn’t fukkin around with the military
And ain't a damn thing wrong with that. Nobody and I mean nobody needs to be out here risking their life for some bullshyt unless they come to that conclusion themselves. Your statement comes across bad bruh though you may not have meant it that way

I wonder what's stopping them from matching your current pay? All they'd have to do is look at your W2 and pay stubs.

Most folks ain't tryna take a pay cut on top of debt they already owe. Figure you wanna join in your mid 20s to mid 30s, you definitely got debt, that E1 salary ain't gone cut it. :mjlol:
