I know he’s a bigger artist globally..but is Kendrick as adored/respected in LA as nipsey is?

Or is he more of a manufactured popularity kinda dude
why do yall try so hard to act like k dot is manufactured, you can't manufacture stars in today's world...a million examples of that failing. they got love in different ways, the only reason you even broaching this is that nip has street nikkas mourning aloud.

edit: your follow up post seems to think only those in the streets have a "backstory", like having being the average person doesn't matter :stopitslime:

You can’t fake that type of love at a vigil man. All that shyt is real. Social media opens you up to everybody.

I find it hard to believe that so many people took the time out to dig into the background of a C-list rapper on the mainstream scale, that they generally aren't listening to like that, and became experts of his community work before he died.

it just doesn't add up.

I want to say that maybe im just :flabbynsick: but im the same age as nipsey.

RIP but this is looking too trendy. I understand we're in a new #woke era, but that's one big trend as well for most people.

Here go the link to full video of Nipseys big homie explaining what happened

Says it was no motive no beef, just jealousy.
They had their guard down cuz they had just shook the dudes hand.

We will see as the investigation plays out. He doesn’t even know himself. He’s assuming it was jealousy. He said they shook hands and then says the motive was jealousy. How do you come to that conclusion

I must say, its weird seeing these vigils for nipsey across the country in places like new York & atlanta.

is this a result of today's media/social media? cuz it felt like just a few years ago, I couldn't even get people to check out a nipsey cd in the east or the south. now theyre suddenly holding vigils for dude. and its not like his music got much popular since then.

maybe im missing something here.
this is me...i know it was a decade ago, but i couldn't find no one listening to Nip when I lived in DC and Philly back in 09-12

manufactured

Kendrick is an industry plant bro.

im sure they got love for Kendrick out there tho, cuz theyre desperate for stars out there, and he seems like a good dude.

he a plant tho.
Kendrick started buzzing on the west around the same time Nip did.

He did not appear out of thin air with unlimited support from the industry like drake or somebody.

Nip could have easily had kendrick's spot in hip hop if he wanted to but he chose not to go mainstream.

Over the last year Nipseys brand took a jump to the next level. The dude just had a GQ shoot, his album was nominated for a Grammy, he wasn’t no C list rapper.

Nipsey Hussle loved NY and was always in NY. I’m not talking about Manhattan im talking about random blocks in the hood!

He was also very close to many New York dudes in the industry!

Can’t speak for others cities but Nipsey might not have gotten a lot of radio play but on a personal tip a lot of people listened to his music out here.

Me personally been listening since 2009 and still have his mixtapes saved on my livesmixtape account.

im saying, all these people mourning him across the country, were they aware of him making these moves before sunday night? or did they just jump on the bandwagon hard in the past few days?

Were they suppose to mourn him when he was alive?

It’s called paying respects dumbass

yea
that was back when I was on SOHH saying he had the potential to be the snoop dogg of this/that era.
nobody heard me online or offline tho.

just feels like the media acknowledgement thanks to his love amongst other entertainers/celebrities mixed with the social media love, has turned his death into a huge deal. but with that comes all the phoney dikkriders, who have turned his death into the flavor of the month. at least hes getting his props and his message & purpose is getting out there.

ehh that's bullchit.

aint nobody getting hit 6 times because of jealousy.

along with 2 other potential bodies on top of that? nah.

Your problem is that you expect people to live their life on social media and you think it represents every single thought, emotion, situation they have. If it ain’t in your social media it ain’t happen right? You think people don’t love their mom cuz they don’t post about her every god damn day?
What are you trying to prove here.

huh?

im not even on social media and don't give a f*ck about it.

so Im not sure what the hell youre arguing about here.

you don't mourn people that you didn't care about when they were living.
I mean, you can do so, but we call that being FAKE.

you post a lot of stupid chit on this board.
