@Lil Bape the PostGod yeah...this isn't even about Kendrick. Are you a agent or some shyt? This is a thread talking about the life and death of a beloved figure and in your mind, you somehow think this is the time to bring up Kendrick's skills or adoration in comparison?

I'm starting to see alot of people online are demonic or have demonic/derailing/distraction energy anytime there's a discussion of substance. They always have to come in and insert some irrelevant shyt to get people emotionally charged and talking in a totally different direction.

If you're not a demon then stop acting like one. I don't wanna hear no shyt about it's just a message board or you can say what you want. You can, but have some goddamn respect for the flow of the conversation and people mourning an important figure in the culture. Don't worry, next week you can find a way to start subliminally making shyt all about Drake again. Until then, stop being a divisive fukking demon.

I must say, its weird seeing these vigils for nipsey across the country in places like new York & atlanta.

is this a result of today's media/social media? cuz it felt like just a few years ago, I couldn't even get people to check out a nipsey cd in the east or the south. now theyre suddenly holding vigils for dude. and its not like his music got much popular since then.

maybe im missing something here.

We're suddenly holding vigils for him bc he died. I don't understand what you're trying to say?? I can't speak for other cities but I know for Atl, he was an icon for the Eritrean and overall Habeshan community. It wasn't about his music for us, but how he represented our people and how he represented himself, putting himself out there for his community and his people. I didn't fukk with his music like that for the past few years, but I recognized immediately how much of a loss his death was for us. We lost an icon and we may never get another like him.

i think there was 2 in the atlanta metro, i went to the one in stone mountain ga at the eritrean community center. it was mad east african there which i don't think is the normal hip hop head crowd in this area so i assumed it was more of a community support event for most of them rather than them being huge nipsey fans. That being said, that's probably different to the vigils in LA were he is from. either way, i was glad to see anybody who was there support nip, wasn't weird at all to me. i dont care when they listen if they do, music is timeless and nip deserves it :yeshrug:

If it was surprise release it means that nobody knew about it...so why the fcuk tell them now?

Kinda feel like all this love Nipsey is getting is being used for various reasons.

I may be wrong but that tweet isn't right.
nah...they had a joint album planned too :wow:
