Nipsey (Yah Bless The Dead) got to mature and gain wisdom to start to did what he done in the community at the age of 33

cuz russell westbrook said nipsey paved the way for people like him, but I knew who westbrook was before nipsey.

I must say, its weird seeing these vigils for nipsey across the country in places like new York & atlanta.

is this a result of today's media/social media? cuz it felt like just a few years ago, I couldn't even get people to check out a nipsey cd in the east or the south. now theyre suddenly holding vigils for dude. and its not like his music got much popular since then.

maybe im missing something here.

Because it was bigger than the music he was making. The moves and the businesses he was doing are the very things the black community is striving towards. To see a real hood dude grind from the bottom and give back like that is inspiring. Black ownership, entrepreneurship and community reinvestment are all tangible things that we can all aspire towards. He presented himself to world in an inspiring light and in death his message is resonating even louder.

I'm in Miami...I honestly think he was known more for the money moves than the music. shyt. The first time I even knew who he was forreal was cause of that WSHH doc. I had heard him with MMG before but never paid him any mind til the last year
