Motion smoothing is your TV inventing frames. Maybe you aren't that sensitive to input lag cause if the tv is making up frames that aren't there there's gonna be lag.
i know what it is. The input lag even with motion interpolation is still kind of low which I've compared with otther TVs I've used in the past. In the past it was way too much input lag but on this TV it's so low that I use it for some games like Zelda and Persona 5.
Some of the worst offenders are pushing over 100 ms which is borderline unplayable.
Zelda being 900P with dynamic resolution when things get heavy so a little teeny bit of imperceptible lag helps the overall image.
My TV with that turned on is 49ms which is still pretty low. Anything below 50ms is good with that setting. Without it it's at 33.3 ms.

That was the first thing I checked out when I got my TV. I remember before I tried motion smoothing on a older TV and the input lag was so obvious it felt like a full blown 1-2 second delay.

You can literally take this thing anywhere. It will survive a 1000ft drop. It's waterproof, fireproof, childproof, dog-proof and glows in the dark. If you spin it around in a circle, when it stops, it always points north. When you use it to play spin the bottle it always points to the hottest chick in the room. It's extremely convenient. like best buy said 0 in stock but when i went there to get zelda they had 5
same with walmart, i even had the notification email for when it comes in stock, yet i never got one.. went there yesterday and saw 3 boxes.
