*can’t help those who don’t want to help themselves*

*they are idiots*

*they don’t know what’s best for them*

the refusal to look inward while blaming everyone else like a 12 year old and being not so subtly racist while doing it would be mind blowing if it wasn’t so expected :wow:

I have to put Nap back on ignore - he's such a dogshyt poster that it doesn't even make reading through TL threads enjoyable.

That being said, the low voter turnout, and the vicious campaign that came out of the blue run by the DNC and some older GOP funders definitely muddied the waters.

The problem was the mass attack ads and campaigning aimed at the suburbanites and their higher turnout, do you live in Cleveland?
no i dont. as for attack ads and suburbanites, she knew that would happen the moment she decided to run. she also knew that sanders was harmed when the institutional advantage came into play. i dont know why her narrative was so fragile, but it was fragile considering she lost a dramatic polling lead and apparently the ads most people are complaining about ran very late in the race. im wondering what her answer was for the establishment problem...

Joyce Beatty is in the same league of moderate Dems who won't move on shyt - I remember she attacked Morgan Harper for being a corporate lawyer for a year and then lied in front of a live audience about voting for Trump's Defense bill :scust:

Of course you're a fan :hhh:
Why is this woman who was a HIllary and Biden fan within the last decade attacking other CBC members?

I've seen several people say this and it doesn't make sense.

There are only two options for attack ads: (1) run better attack ads, which requires tactics that turn of "peaceable" voters or; (2) run substantially more "positive" ads, that are virtually ineffective.

Her narrative wasn't "fragile" at all, especially in comparison to her opponent Brown, who didn't have a narrative at all.

Shontell Brown also utilized the last 8 years or so of media attacks on more "progressive" candidates - something that has already been in the backdrop. There are plenty of dumbasses on this site who fell for it hook-line-and sinker, without even actually seeing the ads.

There isn't an "answer" to establishment attacks

The funding went different places - and came from different sources.

The majority of Turner's funding came from small individual donors, largely Ohioans who were fans of her.

The majority of Brown's funding was from corporate fundraisers - and went almost immediately into attack campaigns.

As a person who actually lives here, the difference was obvious from the start, but the CNN-addled non-Clevelanders have no conception at all of what the difference is.
Come on man. You might be a little too close to be objective here :hubie:
As a person actually from Ohio - she'd win with ease - she was a popular person in the Ohio General Assembly - Fudge's seat has majority Black constituents that would love another Black woman - particularly one with an ideology and focus - to fill it.

Nap, you have no idea what's going on on the ground - you need to slow down on the dogshyt posting.

Guess I'm somehow in another Coli centrist bootlicker thread by the looks of these other posts.

Clyburn and Clinton backing a losing candidate against Nina Turner in Ohio - pathetic :mjlol:

You nikkas are weird.
Nina Turner is an Ohioan, and was incredibly popular here in the Ohio Senate. She also has a massive lead right now, and none of these corporate shill losers who are too bytch-made to run real policy but love to tap-dance for support are going to stop her :yeshrug:
Shontel Brown should run for something she can actually win, instead :hubie:

:francis:

She repped that area in the OH State Senate. Has the most endorsers locally and obviously has the most cash.

Her losing this race would be campaign incompetence.

Yeah, I never expected the attack campaigns or just how low the voter turnout would be :francis:
Attack ads don't move me so I'm with ya.

I think its inexcusable :yeshrug:
I'm on records saying the establishment was wasting money.

There's clearly something everyone is missing for these big swings beyond masterclasses and incompetency.

you've seen several people say it because it matters to low information voters

on attack ads: 1) if it turns off "peaceable voters" then that should hurt both people doing them, making it a wash. i would even assume that undecideds and liberals hate attack ads more than progressives and green party types, so it might be a slight benefit to turner to let it be as rough as possible. i could be wrong.

establishment people have at least one narrative; that of continuity/steady hand/familiarity, trustworthiness, etc. if i lived in that media market, i could probably suss out even more of a narrative for brown

What Does Progressive Darling Nina Turner’s Loss in Ohio Say About the Democratic Party?
"Shontel Brown—the chosen candidate of the caucus—would honor “the rich history” of the group, not be someone who fights against it while “trying to make a name for themselves,” CBC Chairwoman Joyce Beatty (D-Ohio) said while campaigning in the district Saturday with other top Black lawmakers. Brown wouldn’t be “a single solitary know-it-all,” said Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.). She wouldn’t “come in and try to break up that unity,” Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-N.Y.) added."

a non-issues voter will make a narrative out of this...
