Westbrook is thriving because there's no expectations thrust upon him and because he's playing alongside a cheat code (they both have developed some real good chemistry).

Except it isn't. The mutual teammate in question here is a 6th man. When Russ was nudged into this with LeBron (while being more statically productive) there was no warm fuzzy feeling about how Russ was thriving.
Third option big men sacrificing isn't a valid knock betor bringing up Bosh and Love. You'd have to knock the 2nd options between them as well.
