The thing is, people in general don't like being caught up in someone else's trouble if that someone is a known troublemaker, even more if they are known troublemaker who has a history of talking down on the very same people who would help them. To me the problem isn't so much nobody defending her from some random man hitting her with a brick for whatever reason.

I was one of the people saying it was wrong I don't support celebrating death. I guess I can see why someone wouldn't help her if they know her history but it's still wrong.

I think women not being hit by bricks is a standard we should all have for our respective communities. If you see a man try to flirt with a woman, she humiliates him, and then he starts to look for a brick, you should at the very least say something.

I'm not saying you have to jump in front of the mf brick, just try to deescalate the situation.
