I think women complicate their lives, own up to what you want. Stop trying to sidestep men feelings when you are face to face with them. What I think is the issue for you is the fact that she pointed out what she would like to see that he isn’t doing anymore. If she would have been praising him and mentioned how perfect would we really be speaking about not discussing your relationship publicly. They don’t air their marital issues in public but are they fixing it/addressing it in private? Generally, people go public with something when they are fed up with the situation. Key note on “in the last year”, it seems to me that things may have been discussed but fell on deaf ears. The opportunity presented to share how she felt and she brought it up. Also, how you going to counsel other couples and lecture people about their relationships publicly but be mad that your perfect husband routine gets put on blast?
