He won’t be a hof and most likely will be forgotten

Cheddar Plax was that fukking dude for a minute. :wow:

Roddy White

I remember he got cut by the Falcons and got absolutely NO interest, and I couldn't understand it.

He's not a wide receiver, but I remember Dallas Clark being a beast, and he might as well not have existed.

Same with Laveraneus Coles. He was never top tier, but one of the better ones, but you never hear about him now.

I never said it wasnt easier. But youre acting like 1000 yds was rare in the 90s and 2000s is flat out wrong. It was not the 70s. WRs were putting in work.during those times. Sterling Sharpe put up 18 tds in 1994. Mike Irvin put up 1500 yards in 1991playing for a run based offense in the toughest division in football. Yet you making it seem like dudes was leading the league with 85 rec for 1100 yds every year.

I guess I should have said "more rare" compared to today. Obviously guys put up numbers back then. I just don't like how guys wanna compare stats across eras when we know the game is a lot easier now for offenses.

Those 6 NFL WRs invaded the Swamp and never came out :mjlit:

Not really. We just had a god awful offensive line that year. That meant zero time to sit back in the pocket to let routes develop. Its why the gameplan that day was run heavy.

Those Florida DBs didn't fare too well the following year in 2016 when Jauan Jennings and company lit ya'll up.

somewhere between a pair of D cup tiddies
I came in here to say Sidney Rice but beyond that 1 1,300 yard season he followed it up with a 750ish year sandwiched between a 200+ and 300+ season for the Hawks. Short lived "prime".
Dude was a major disappointment. Made some plays here and there but man we expected more.
Not sure this thread was for him but he fell all the way off quickly.

No it was not rare to get a 1000 yds. It was more of a milestone but it wasnt rare..dudes like Marcus Robinson and Germane Crowell were getting a 1000. So was Marty Booker despite shytty Qbing. So waa Derrick Alexander, so.was Qadry Ismail..this is off the dome, not Googling.
Man did we think we had one after '99 with Marcus Robinson LOLOLOLOL he felllllllllllllllllllllllll the fukk off after that. That;s a good one.

For reference he was 4th in yards in 99 with 1400.

Germane Crowell and Amani Toomer are also good ones.

I will never forget that Marcus Robinson year. He was out there snagging on any and everybody. Making Cade McCown seem.somewhat passable. Then like you said he disappeared until I think Baltimore where he became somewhat relevant again. Crowell looked like a budding star...then, vamoose. Its alot of one hit wonders in football. That would make one hell of a thread.

Marcus Robinson caught everything that year. Funny I think he is still a sports coach in the northern burbs. But yeah that was a hell of a season. Made you think we had something developing :heh:
That 2001 year smh

Most definitely. He was young too. Never undersood how he couldnt parlay that performance into a standout career. Its the NFL, though. Its filled with one year wonders throughout history. Hey when you draft Curtis Enis and Cade McNown in the first round in back to back years...what can you do?? That 01 season was magical but how far can you go with Jim Miller, seriously?? The fact that they didnt get a Superbowl victory out of that core defense, disappoints me til this day. Couldve beat the Colts. Stopped running with Thomas Jones for your roration and that coverage breakdown on that Wayne td.
