Least hyped Super Bowl of all time? Obviously the game will still get 100M viewers, but still interesting to see that there’s been 0 buzz or stories about the Super Bowl…

Taken attention away from what exactly? Asking NFL players trivial nonsense during these press conferences? That's what you get when you schedule the Super Bowl two weeks after the conference championships.

Let's see, having an award show the NFL Honors, announcing the MVP, announcing the newest Hall of Fame inductees, The week long Superbowl Fan Experience where you meet past & present stars and take pics with the Lombardi trophy, celebrity flag football game, music performances, parties, press conferences, live streams, radio row interviews, etc.

WTF you taking about? It doesn't matter if the NFL is dyckroad every week. The week leading up to the Superbowl is their grandiose all star week :gucci:
Those impact the people who are in New Orleans. Those people heard the Luka news, said "wow" and went right back to enjoying their week. The day after Luka got dealt, 4.7 million locos still tuned in to watch the Pro Bowl in a packed stadium. When the game's about to start, nobody will worry about anything but the game. The stuff you're talking about is still being enjoyed and consumed by the people who cared about it in the first place (hell, some of that stuff happens during the draft too).

The ONLY thing that has shown this week is that there is fatigue over the matchup and all the BS anticipation and as a result, you might be able to get into the Superdome for a band, and none of that has been impacted by the NBA. The NBA just offered something else to talk about besides Andy Reid and Pat Mahomes' legacies.

The point was that the open week leading to the the game on Sunday is the NFL's all star weekend. You might not think so but the NFL schedules and treats it as such. You just going by the people's reactions and how they took the NBA news, I get that. My only point is that if the week before the Superbowl doesn't mean shyt then why a schedule a million events from the league, sponsors, and fans?

The week before the Super Bowl never meant shyt to people who don’t go. They schedule stuff for the fans who are there. Nothing has impacted that aspect of the week. The NBA trade deadline was just a welcome distraction what would otherwise have been nothing but reminiscing with Hall of Famers pushing products.

Now in 2 weeks when the NBA has all-star weekend, you’re gonna notice the star power and interest won’t be there as much because of SNL 50. The NFL ultimately won’t notice much if any downside since we’re still gonna watch on Sunday.

Of course the events are for the people who attend. The same goes for people visiting MLB's all star game and NBA's all star weekend. The actual game will do millions of numbers like it always does, but the NFL has always used the week leading up to the game -and for those not in attendance in New Orleans- as a massive hype week to celebrate the league and the big game. The NBA trade deadline crushed their hype this year, but the pompous all controlling NFL always believe that its fans live for this moment leading up to the Superbowl. You're crazy to believe that it never did. "Where you watching the SB at" "Who are you pulling for?" "Where's the SB party at?" -and now they've attached an award show, hall of fame nominations, and tons of other s*t to the SB week. This week is everything for the NFL for those in attendance and for those at home! And I'm speaking form the NFL's point of view. JUST STOP IT MAN!!

And what does Saturday Night Live have to do with this?
