CA has twice the population of FL. But those homeless are crazy for CA.

And Desantis had a good zinger there the burning bridge.

EDIT: I'm surprised Meatball didn't mention Xi forcing him to clean up the homeless.

Newsom really signed off on these questions? :what:

I stopped watching debates 15 years ago because when they're not predictable, they're frustrating and stupid.

A reasonably intelligent person can put a good spin on any question, especially if they're willing to be intellectually dishonest, which all of these people are. So to watch them fumble obvious questions that they had weeks to prepare for got tiring. It reminds me of being on a jury and watching two incompetent lawyers go at it. You just want to stand up and say, "I don't even agree with what you're trying to do, but can you please let me do it for you just to avoid the pain of watching you fukk it up so bad?"

And I'm not saying that I'd be the ideal person to be up there - I'm uncharismatic as fukk, so I'd come off as condescending, academic, they wouldn't like my voice, whatever. But at least I'd have good answers to every question and would never get caught lacking. Blows my mind when they can't pull off this simple bullshyt theater.

"We've been a victim of our own success. For the last two decades, California has been the national leader in producing high-paying jobs, and we constantly have people moving here to build and join amazing companies like Apple, Google, Facebook [keep going as long as he wants]. Even last year, 500,000 new residents from across the country chose to move to our great state. Unfortunately, there is only so much land and so many homes within driving distance to those jobs, and with great demand comes rising prices. The pandemic and stay-at-home work has allowed people greater flexibility in where to live while they take advantage of the global economic boom that California's companies created, and so naturally there's been a bit of evening out in that regard as tech workers and others feel more free to move to states who didn't experience that same sort of economic boom."

"But I won't deny, there are people who do reject California values and don't want to be a part of what we build here. There are people who don't want their state to provide health care for the poor. There are people who don't want their neighbors of a different color to have the same opportunity at political representation that they do. There are people who don't want every child to be treated equally in school - some of them seem to not want subjects like history and science to be taught at all. Some of those people will prefer states like yours, Mr. Desantis, but I am confident that does not represent the majority of Americans."
"that's all well and good, governor rhakim, but what about all that shytting in the street" :ehh:

wtf does that have to do with your first question? You're just deflecting as always.

Pretend, for 10 seconds, that you're an intellectually honest person and actually meant what you said the first time. What do you think of my response, is it reasonable or not, and tell us why?

Ive gone to San Francisco 3-5 times a year since 2014 and I've never seen human shyt in the streets lol.

I did somehow end up in some type of hobo district when I got off at the wrong station but even then I wasn't stepping in human shyt every block.

That shyt/heat map was a wild ass prop.

This debate didn't help either person.

DeSantis didn't do bad, and kinda was better to me on the immigration topic (not that DeSantis was good) and on people leaving Cali for Florida than Newsom, but who wants a no charisma Diet Trump when you can have the real thing? Newsom did properly shyt on him for abortion.

Newsom has confirmed my belief that I don't want him as the 2028 nominee. He was unable to answer questions on some of the liberal policies that aren't really popular, and I've felt for a while that he comes off as a limousine liberal that doesn't have appeal needed to win in the midwestern states.
